The role of the Bank Health Care Assistant is varied, challenging, and rewarding. It requires a positive outlook and an ability to develop and maintain a meaningful therapeutic relationship with the service users.
Shifts are available Trust wide, which include Halifax, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Barnsley therefore the ability to commute within the Trusts geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport is essential. Criteria for being registered on the Trust Bank is that you can commit to a minimum of 4 shifts in a 6 month period and all mandatory training is kept up to date.If you are successful at interview you will be required as part of your bank registration to undertake all mandatory training, please take this into consideration when applying for this post. Main duties of the job
Work under the supervision/direction of registered health care professionals/associate practitioner, within a delegated framework for agreed tasks, be aware of and able to address the basic, routine psychological and physical needs of a defined group of people.
Work as part of a healthcare team, provide the highest standards of safe and compassionate planned care to people that maximises their recovery and rehabilitation potential.
Ensure the care experienced is positive and service user safety is maintained. Treat everyone, eg, service users, their relatives, visitors, colleagues etc, with respect, dignity and courtesy and in accordance with the Trusts Values.
Follow and ensure care is provided in accordance with well-established policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and established clinical care plans.
Undertake the physical aspects of care eg, moving and handling of service users. Use items of equipment in delivering care eg, hoists, wheelchairs etc, ensuring appropriate instruction on their use has been received.
Be required to concentrate for periods of time, depending upon the care intervention/care plan eg, following the observation policy, taking, recording of physical observations etc, and raising issues of concern appropriately.

The post holder will lead and support the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality clinical practice, promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes for people with learning disabilities, and ensure that care is delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and best practice guidance.
The Clinical Lead will act as a senior clinical resource for staff, providing advice, supervision, coaching and support, while contributing to service development, quality improvement and clinical governance.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an inspiring and compassionate Clinical Lead Nurse to work across our Community Learning Disability Services in Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire. This is an exciting leadership role for an experienced Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) who is committed to delivering excellent care and driving meaningful change for people with learning disabilities.
Working closely with community nursing teams, Health Action Teams and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will be the professional nursing lead across all three services. You will champion best practice, support and develop staff, and provide expert clinical leadership for people with complex needs. A central focus of the role will be improving physical health outcomes, reducing health inequalities and ensuring that people with learning disabilities are able to access the same high-quality healthcare as everyone else.

Main duties of the job

Provide an efficient secretarial service to the Clinical Lead, Service Manager, Admin & Support Services Manager and laboratory management team.
Provide an efficient administrative and secretarial service to the Laboratory Medicine Board and its subcommittees. This involves the production and circulation of agendas, meeting papers, and taking comprehensive minutes of meetings
Man the Lab Medicine Helpline, Call Centre and Reception desk (rotational basis):Be the first line contact for the Laboratory Medicine Department and deal with enquiries from other healthcare professionals, users of the service, patients, relatives; make appointments for patients that are to have blood tests within Laboratory Medicine; greet patients on arrival and update electronic systems, make follow up appointments; take receipt of specimens on the reception desk and transfer them to the laboratory, highlighting urgent specimens to lab personnel.
Assist with timely distribution of pathology reports distribution; including mailing reports, uploading reports to NHS electronic systems eg: Allscripts EPR, and updating Lab Information System.
Ordering of consumables using NHS systems such as NHS Supply Chain, and Centros Integra
Uploading of documentation onto Department's Quality Management System Database - QPulse.

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. Main duties of the job
The Pathology Directorate is looking to to offer a 11 month secondment for a part time Band 6 Chemotherapy nurse to the existing service. The post holder will be based at the Prince Charles Hospital and will be part of a nursing team supporting the Haematology Day Unit Manager to deliver a safe and efficient Haematology service within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB), working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
The role will include providing expert advice, education to all levels of staff to improve the safety and effectiveness of the practice throughout the CTMUHB, in accordance with NPSA notice 18 and ensure cancer standards are adhered to as in Cancer Delivery Plan (2016-2020). We are looking for a Nurse or Midwife Practitioner to join the clinical team in our Peterborough unit working 15 hours per week on Monday and Thursday.

About the role
You will provide high quality clinical care to our clients across a range of BPAS reproductive healthcare services including termination of pregnancy, STI testing & treatment, contraception, and vasectomy. You will be involved in all stages of the client pathway from consultation through to treatment and will work in all areas of the unit including theatre and recovery. This role will involve providing treatment and clinical information to clients both in person & over the phone.
About You
You will be a Registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or Midwife (practising) with active NMC registration and PIN. You will have clinical practice experience of at least 12 months & have a keen interest in sexual health & reproductive healthcare. Clinical knowledge & experience of safeguarding & Fraser/Gillick competencies are essential for this role.
With excellent interpersonal & communication skills you will be adept at caring for clients in a compassionate & empathetic way. You will also be comfortable using IT & MS Packages including Outlook, Word & MS Teams.
Main duties of the job
- You will work in accordance with NMC guidelines for Professional Practice & the wider regulatory frameworks of the Abortion Act 1967 & Health & Social Care Act as well as BPAS clinical policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the client understands her options in relation to the pregnancy &, if choosing termination, meets the ground of the Abortion Act.
- Provide information on STI Testing, undertake tests and provide results and also discuss, inform and confirm the clients future choice of contraception.
- Carefully check for and implement any procedure indicated on client case notes, including administering medication for Medical Abortion procedures or cervical preparation.
- Carry out post treatment check-ups by assessing the physical condition of the client and discussing any concerns
- Complete relevant paperwork and in the event of post treatment problems, make arrangements with the clinic or refer to an NHS agency if necessary.
- To care for and support clients undergoing surgical treatments. This could include general anaesthetic, conscious sedation or local anaesthetic.
We are also looking for:
- Sound & accurate administrative competence with attention to detail
- Gynecological nursing experience or relevant specialty i.e., sexual health, contraception
- Venepuncture / cannulation skills

The Hounslow Community Neuro Rehab Team (CNRT) is a client-centred, integrated multi-disciplinary team comprising of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Neuro Psychologist, a Pharmacist, a Specialist Nurse practitioner, an Occupational Therapy Assistant and Rehab assistants.
The Neuro-rehab team works across both intensive short-term rehab and longer-term rehab pathways. There are opportunities to develop skills in rapid assessment and facilitating discharge from hospital, long term condition management and specialist neuro-rehab.
This role provides the opportunity to work across both rehabilitation pathways within the service, with both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. This role involves providing therapy for patients within their own home environments as well as the local community. There will be expectations for lone working and independent monitoring of patients progress with timely feedback to the MDT.

Springhill Hospice is a 16 bedded adult hospice providing the highest standard of physical, psychological and emotional care to our patients with life limiting illnesses and also to their loved ones, in a safe, caring and holistic environment. Job responsibilities
Aim:
To ensure that the highest possible standards of nursing care are carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of Springhill Hospice and the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, and within the Nursing team.
Professional
1.1 Plan, implement and evaluate patient care using multidisciplinary approach following the Hospice philosophy, acting as Named Nurse for designated patients, both on the Hospice inpatient unit and in the patients own home.
1.2 Supervise professional work of other staff, where appropriate, and prioritise where necessary.
1.3 Deliver skilled, research based, individually planned nursing care to patients. Evaluate and document all care given, as laid down by Hospice and NMC policy.
1.4 Ensure patients and, where appropriate, relatives/carers are involved in the care planning process and ensure adherence to the Admissions/Discharge policies.
1.5 In accordance with the NMC Standards for Administration of Medicines and Springhill Hospice Drug Management Policies, undertake drug management procedures, ensuring correct record keeping.
1.6 Complete patient documentation in accordance with Hospice policy and the NMC Standards for Records and Record Keeping.
1.7 Work closely with and liaise appropriately with the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of care to patients/relatives/carers.
1.8 Maintain a safe environment to patients, relatives, visitors and staff in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
1.9 Within the scope of professional practice and Hospice policies, perform role expansion duties, following appropriate training and assessment of competence.
1.10 Ensure that the correct policy for the care and custody of patients property/valuables is adhered to.
1.13 Deliver advice and support within the constraints of your own professional competency to patients, carers and healthcare professionals who call the 24 hour palliative care advice line. Advice given will be evidence-based and appropriate training ongoing.
Education
2.1 Supervise and contribute to the training and development of nursing and care staff and act as mentor to individual nurses on clinical placement.
2.2 Maintain a personal and professional portfolio, providing evidence of self-development and ensure PREP requirements are fully met.
2.3 Participate in individual performance review and personal development planning.
2.4 Attend mandatory training sessions as laid down by Springhill Hospice and access other appropriate educational training programmes as required.
2.5 Participate in clinical and organisational audit and be actively involved in research activity and demonstrate the ability to advance palliative care research.
Personnel
3.1 Read, understand and comply with all Hospice policies and procedures, applying the principles as appropriate to role.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs.
