Mental Health Rehabilitation offers: a whole systems approach to recovery from mental illness that maximises the individuals quality of life and social inclusion by encouraging their skills promoting independence and autonomy in order to give them hope for the future and leads to successful community living through appropriate support.
The Sussex Community Rehabilitation Pathway provides high quality, safe and effective rehabilitation for adults with psychosis and complex mental disorder across Sussex. The team works collaboratively with patients who meet NICE guidance service criteria to deliver personalised rehabilitation in their local area to:* Support a personally meaningful recovery
*Improve subjective quality of life
*Enable social inclusion and participation in the wider community to achieve personal recovery goals
The Sussex Community Rehabilitation Service operates both short and long-term pathways, with short-term pathways temporary community rehabilitation input to people for up to 16 weeks and long-term pathways which offer input to people for an expected minimum of 3 years.
Main duties of the job
*A breadth of knowledge & skills providing holistic & person centred care & support for people of all ages, in a variety of settings
*Works independently under the leadership of registered nurses providing care, delivering all aspects of nursing processes
*Includes undertaking care & treatment tasks as directed by registered nurse within a range of mental health settings with patients experiencing a range of mental health issues. Includes observations & reporting on patients' conditions
*Contribute to collaborative care planning & safety management in accordance with team approach
*Work flexibly & carry out short/long-term intervention case loads
*Carry out delegated tasks in accordance with care plans, risk management plans, with the support & guidance of lead practitioner & wider team
*Keep accurate records of all work undertaken

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our Sussex CAMHS Services as the Professional Lead. This is an influential role that will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership within West Sussex CAMHS with some time dedicated to supporting with leadership more widely across Sussex CAMHS.
The Trust operates a model of care delivery which is led through joint operational and clinical decision making. This post will join other professional leads in ensuring quality of service delivery and support and growth of our workforce.
This role is right for you if you are motivated at the prospect of:
- Having the ability to influence the quality of care and wellbeing through a strong professional lead network.
- Raising the profile of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists and supporting their growth and development.
- Wanting to ensure that the child's voice is at the centre of care delivery decisions.
The role is split into 50% clinical direct and indirect work and 50% leadership work.
Main duties of the job
Responsibility for Clinical Supervision of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists and Professional Leadership of Psychological Professionals; supported Senior Psychological Profession colleagues across the service.
Overseeing the Psychological Professions workplan including increasing access to psychological therapies, enhancing outcomes for Young People and their Families, supporting inclusive and diverse practice, and staff well-being.
Promote clinical innovation and continual development of Psychotherapy practice, based upon evidence and relevant research.
Ensure excellence in clinical practice and service delivery is based on NICE guidelines, documents and guidance.
Ensure Psychological Professionals have mechanisms that enable compliance with Professional standards, ethics and regulation requirements.
Support/advise managers in developing supervision and act as a point of contact and resource on all professionally related issues.
Provide and deliver specialist advice and interventions for young people with complex needs, and their families, working closely with Managers to deliver a person-centred service, providing expert advice to patients, carers and staff.
This role includes Co-Chairing the Trust's Psychodynamic Network alongside an Adult Psychotherapist.
You will need a recognised Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy registration and ideally a supervisory qualification, some leadership experience and experience of clinical practice in a CAMHS setting.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 RMN to join our Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (NHMT) at Horsham on Bank
The main focus of the role will be completing new patient assessments; supported by senior staff

Main duties of the job
To undertake initial assessments and discuss outcomes with the leadership team to agree appropriate next steps. To escalate identified risks through established multidisciplinary team forums, including daily huddles, zoning meetings and multi-agency team meetings.
To participate in regular clinical, professional and managerial supervision.
To ensure that all patients have an individual risk assessment and care plan which has been created collaboratively with patients and (if appropriate) carers views, ensuring the regular review of both.
