An exciting opportunity to shape the future of MRI Imaging in an Outstanding Trust
The post offers an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead for MRI at band 8a, working 22.5 hours per week as part of a job share arrangement. The remaining 15 hours per week will be undertaken in a band 7 clinical role, providing an excellent opportunity to combine clinical leadership with specialist hands on MRI practice.
As MRI Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of our MRI services, working closely with Radiologists, Radiographers, and multidisciplinary teams. This role is perfect for someone looking to combine hands-on clinical expertise with leadership and service development in a supportive and progressive environment.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the management and day-to day running of a designated specialised clinical service pertaining to the Trust.
To be responsible for the management and development of the specialist service area ensuring optimum use of staffing and equipment resources within the modality.
To be responsible for the professional leadership of the radiography team providing a high quality patient focused service.
To maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to patients.
To develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development.
To ensure a safe working environment and maintenance of the radiographic equipment within the area.
To rotate to other clinical areas when required dependent on skills offered.
To maintain DM01 and cancer performance

To be responsible for the professional leadership and management of all radiographers, nursing and support staff within the modality.
To ensure that the service delivery is patient focused and of the highest quality.

Clinical Responsibilities
Regularly undertake clinical work within specific modalities.
To ensure that examinations are carried out to the agreed standard for the Division.
To have an in-depth knowledge of modality specific procedures.
To provide clinical support /supervision to all staff working within the imaging department.

To be familiar with and have an in depth knowledge of the IT systems used within the department and to ensure all examinations are entered onto the system.
Management Responsibilities
To ensure that departmental processes and booking systems are effective and responsive to the needs of the patient, the department and the Trust.
To ensure staff within the area are managed on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the service requirements of the department.
To help expand their knowledge and skills.
To ensure that protocols are kept up to date and that staff are aware of changes or developments.
To be actively involved in the audit and quality assurance programme.
To ensure there is an appropriate QA programme in place within the unit and monitor the quality of the images obtained.
To assist in developing business cases for capital bids and lead in the procurement and installation of such equipment.
To assist in investigating complaints in line with Trust policy as required.
To participate in development and implementation of the Trust, Divisional and Departmental objectives together with the departmental management team.
To produce and evaluate activity for the department on a regular basis.
Provide advice pertaining to the modality and keep service manager appraised on matters relating to the unit.
To liaise with manufacturers in order to co-ordinate routine maintenance and fault reporting.
Finance/Performance
To identify and contribute to the delivery of the cost improvement schemes within Diagnostics.
To be responsible for the agreed financial budgets in conjunction with the Clinical General Manager and Modality Leads.
To complete the positive returns on a monthly basis.
To control the ordering and receipt of non-stock items and stock items ensuring the department is adequately equipped at all times.

Job summary
The purpose of this role is to provide high standard, efficient and comprehensive support to clinical teams within the Respiratory Medicine Service. The post holder is responsible for managing all elements of the patient pathway in line with the Trust's Elective Access Policy. They will become familiar with different outpatient pathways and referral to treatment (RTT) status codes. The post holder is expected to work within the wider administrative team and alongside clinical staff to deliver a high standard of patient care and proactively contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the service.
Main duties of the job
- Provide primary administrative support to all clinical staff, primarily consultants, and all patients under their care, including diary administration, correspondence support and other administrative duties as required.
- Act as a first point of contact on the telephone and by email for patients, relatives, GPs and any other relevant agencies, answering or re-directing queries in a timely manner, as appropriate. As a SCPHN School Nurse, you will lead and deliver public health interventions for a defined population of school-aged children and young people. Job summary
The Patient Advice and Liaison Service Officer is required to provide easily accessible customer services to the local community working closely with the Complaints & PALS Manager and PALS Service Lead.
One of the great things about this role is that you'll be liaising directly with service users and their families; this is a great opportunity if you really enjoy working with people. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to work within the Complaints & Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team. This role is also suitable for someone who has experience of using secondary mental health services as a patient or a carer.
Main duties of the job
The successful postholder will be responsible for providing an accessible customer service for patients using the Trust's services and their carers and families. You will be required to run a series of regular PALS surgeries, speaking directly to patients and their families about their experiences.
The postholder will facilitate a speedy and informal resolution of problems and concerns raised by patients, their families, and carers through liaison with Trust staff and other external agencies. They will be responsible for providing information about local services, including voluntary and statutory agencies.
Part of the role will require the postholder to provide high quality guidance and support to Directorates on resolving and responding to concerns and complaints. They will be required to identify themes and tends arising from concerns and patient feedback to ensure actions are taken. You will be responsible for working with Directorates to ensure that they utilise all feedback received to continuously improve services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a sensitive and caring manner are key to this role. The successful candidate will be required to understand the need for confidentiality and display a mature and professional attitude. The post-holder will be required to travel to the Trust's various hospital sites.

We're establishing a newIntensive Case Management (ICM) and Rehabilitation Pathway, bringing together specialist professionals to deliver flexible, proactive support for adults with some of the most complex mental health needs.
We're looking for aMental Health Nurses who are committed to building therapeutic relationships, working collaboratively across services and delivering recovery-focused care in the community. Main duties of the job
As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you'll manage a defined caseload of adults with complex mental health needs, providing specialist nursing assessments, evidence-based interventions and personalised care planning.
Working autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary team, you'll build strong therapeutic relationships with service users and their families, contribute specialist nursing expertise to clinical decision-making, and support people to achieve their recovery goals.

The newly formed South East (SE) Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Operational Delivery Network (ODN) is seeking a Clinical Lead. Are you a specialist working within the SE and caring for patients with SCI? Would you like to shape the care of Spinal Cord injured patients across the SE and work with other SCI enthusiasts to shape the future of care for Spinal Cord injured patients? Burnham, Berrow and Highbridge Medical Centres (known as Symphony North) are looking to recruit a Treatment Room Nurse or Practice Nurse with chronic disease qualifications,to join their dedicated Nursing Team on a 12-month fixed term basis, working 24 hours per week across all three sites.

Job summary
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) for Frailty and Proactive Care will provide expert clinical leadership and advanced practice to provide more joined-up care for high-priority cohorts through integrated neighbourhood teams (INTs), with a focus on delivering proactive support for people with frailty and long-term conditions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work across Bradford City PCN4 practices and within community settings to identify, assess and manage patients with moderate to severe frailty, helping them remain independent and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
The role will focus on proactive care, comprehensive geriatric assessment, anticipatory care planning, multidisciplinary team working and patients with declining health.
The post holder will work autonomously within their scope of practice, undertaking advanced clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment and prescribing where appropriate.

To support the delivery and development of high-quality memory assessment and dementia care services within the Central (Conwy/Denbighshire) Memory Assessment Service. To act as an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload of individuals undergoing assessment, diagnosis and ongoing support for cognitive impairment and dementia. To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, service users, carers and partner agencies to ensure person-centred care is delivered in accordance with Health Board policies, professional standards and the NMC Code. To contribute to service improvement and the development of colleagues through clinical supervision, mentorship, education and the application of evidence-based practice, research and emerging developments in dementia care.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a part of the Memory Assessment Service where they will work with those who are experiencing cognitive changes and have concerns regarding Dementia. The successful candidate will undertake responsibility of the Memory Assessment Service in the absence of the manager. They will be required to divide their time equally between a clinic and community care setting due to the large rural geographical area with limited transport links and problematic mobile phone reception. It is necessary to work autonomously and conduct patient home visits. To have the ability to make complex decisions unsupervised due to working in isolated areas. The successful candidate is expected to participate as a full member of the multi-disciplinary team, working with people who present with possible organic mental health problems. Taking responsibility for a case load of patients and initial comprehensive assessments, delivering diagnosis and formulating treatment plans and initial review.

The Children's Bladder and Bowel service is an innovative and progressive service, and this role requires a flexible, warm and reflective practitioner committed to ongoing development of their skills and knowledge to maintain the excellent standards of the service.
You will require specialist knowledge, attitude and skills to deliver a service using evidence based practice to ensure quality care, advice and support to locality team members and the wider community. You will use advanced assessment skills to work in partnership with children, young people and families to understand their bladder and bowel needs and to agree appropriate support required to contribute to their long-term outcomes.
You'll work closely with the primary health care team, education services, social care and the independent sector. Above all your compassion will mean that together we can make a difference.
Main duties of the job
- Complete comprehensive bladder and bowel health needs assessments to plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care, including analysis, interpretation and comparison of options available to meet identified need, in partnership with service users, parents, children and young people.
- Develop and deliver programmes of care for complex needs and provide highly specialised bladder and bowels advice.
- Assess for provision of appropriate continence containment products including ordering and annual reviews.
- Offer evidence based advice, and refer to Safeguarding Children and other agencies where appropriate, in line with Safeguarding Children Policies and Procedures including court reports/legal documents etc.
- Actively participate in an advisory capacity on all aspects relevant to the promotion of continence in children and young adults.
- Establish and maintain a body of information so enquiries can be dealt with efficiently.
- Provide clinical expertise and advice on children's bladder and bowels.
- Support children and adolescents, their families and other carers to influence and partake in decisions concerning their care.
- Keep abreast of advances and current developments within the field of continence within Clinical Governance parameters.

Band 4 - Blood Sciences Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) Supervisor Post
Permanent contract - PART TIME - either 22.5h (Mon - Wed) or 15h (Thu - Fri) per week.
2x part time posts available (as mentioned above). Main hours will be 1200 - 2030. Successful candidates will be expected to cover each others shifts where required by the department . Also flexibility to adapt to unexpected workload and staffing pressures will be required. E.g. recent implementation of new LIMS has resulted in temporary later working.
Must be available to cover weekend and night shifts when all other options have been exhausted.

The Pathology department at Stepping Hill Hospital (Stockport NHS Foundation Trust) is seeking a Medical Laboratory assistant to join the Blood Sciences team to assist with processing samples that arrive in the lab in the evenings. The successful applicant(s) would be joining a friendly and passionate staffing group providing diagnostic services to the hospital patients and wider community.
The role supports the delivery of Blood Sciences services. The ideal candidate will be expected to supervise the MLA team, carry out and assign day to day work in the Pathology Specimen Reception areas. Ensuring best practice and adherence to Trust and departmental policies and procedures. The post holder will be responsible for the training and competency assessment of the MLA team.
Main duties of the job
Supervise, carry out and assign MLA team activities and duties in all specimen reception areas to ensure workflow turnaround time (TAT) targets are achieved.
Manage the 24/7 MLA rota to ensure it is adequately staffed and shifts are covered. Including approving and declining annual leave and covering sickness absences to ensure service provision.
Conduct daily MLA huddles to cascade information and acquire team feedback for escalation to Technical Heads of Department and/or Senior BMS.
Deliver and coordinate training and competency assessment of the MLA team.
Ensure relevant departmental and Trust processes are followed in accordance with SOPs and policies such as Specimen Acceptance Policy and departmental H&S policies.
First line sickness management duties for MLA team i.e. logging sickness absences in accordance with Trust policy and escalating this to Senior BMS and THOD.
Support with Trust appraisal process for MLA Team along with Senior BMS and THODs.
Support with recruitment and selection processes for new MLA team members.
Ensuring equipment e.g. POCT devices and centrifuges are maintained appropriately.
Monitoring and ordering of relevant stock and inventory where appropriate.
