Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for leading the unit nursing team on a day to day basis; coordinatingthe delivery of holistic patient care within the clinical environment, whilst supporting flow in terms ofadmissions, transfers and discharges to multiple points of contact.
Through clinical leadership, adherence of the Trust Right Care values and the utilisation of effectivemanagement skills, the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse will ensure the department team is informed,trained and developed to enable the highest standards of evidence based and compassionate care tobe delivered to our patients, their carers and families. They will support a collaborative, open andtrusting communication style to all groups that the Unit communicates or interacts with from staff, tovisiting teams and the individuals we care for.
To actively participate in the development of the Emergency Department using innovation, challengeand evidence based practice/strategies to support forward growth, progression and value based care.
The post holder must understand the core concepts of safe and effective patient flow through theDepartment and beyond the acute hospital, using their skills to promote and support themultidisciplinary team.
Fixed Term - 12 month Contract
Part Time - 34.5 hours per week
Main duties of the job
Clinical leadershipProvide senior clinical oversight across all ED areas, leading assessment, prioritisation and escalation of unwell or deteriorating patients. Support safe flow through triage, streaming, resus and pathways such as UTC and SDEC. Act as a visible clinical role model promoting evidence-based, high-quality care.Operational managementCoordinate daily ED operations, ensuring safe staffing, appropriate skill mix and effective allocation. Lead responses to surges, major incidents and high-risk situations. Work with the MDT, site teams and external partners to maintain flow and reduce delays.Staff management and developmentProvide leadership, supervision and support to Band 6s and junior nurses. Manage appraisals, sickness, performance and staff wellbeing. Lead induction, mentorship and development of new starters and students. Promote a positive, inclusive team culture.Governance, quality and safetyEnsure compliance with NMC standards, Trust policies and regulatory requirements. Lead incident management, learning and quality improvement. Support audits, service development and best-practice implementation. Maintain high standards of documentation, infection control, medicines management and safeguarding.Professional leadershipRepresent nursing within the ED, contributing to strategic planning and service improvement. Champion patient experience, safety and continuous improvement.

Endoscopy is a fast-paced specialist service that offers a unique nursing experience. We are a JAG accredited Bowel Cancer Screening centre and are proud of the standards we have achieved.
The successful candidate will be part of a highly-skilled team responsible for the pre assessment of patients requiring an endoscopic procedure as well as working in the endoscopy department.
The successful candidate will need to possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to demonstrate leadership skills, work proactively as part of a successful team and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills. They must also be able to manage their time effectively and work flexibly to meet the ever-changing requirements of the service both within the department and also Trust-wide.
You will be a 1st Level Staff Nurse with evidence of ongoing professional development.
Endoscopy experience would be beneficial, although not essential.
Main duties of the job
You will be pre assessing patients to assess their suitability for endoscopic procedures and manage the patient pathway. As well as supporting our Gastrointestinal, Urological, Gynaecological and Respiratory patients through all stages of their procedure pathway, whilst also ensuring that the endoscopic equipment is maintained according to our high standards.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 6 Enhanced Wound Care nurse into our teams
You will be working under the supervision of Clinical Nurse Specialists in Tissue Viability. Main duties of the job
The Alzheimer's Society UKDTN Lead Clinical Research Nurse is a senior clinical leadership role responsible for leading the delivery and development of early phase dementia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) CTIMP and ATIMP clinical trials.
The post holder will lead the delivery of a high-quality early phase dementia clinical trials portfolio, ensuring compliance with ICH-Good Clinical Practice (GCP), UK Clinical Trial Regulations, the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research, and local Research & Development requirements. They will provide clinical and operational leadership to the research nursing team, support workforce development through education and mentorship, and act as a clinical expert and ambassador for the Alzheimer's Society UKDTN Research Nurse Programme, promoting research as an integral part of the dementia care pathway.
The post holder will contribute to regional and national research priorities, workforce development and UKDTN and Alzheimer's Society initiatives that may require travel within the local region and occasional UK-wide travel to support programme activities and network meetings.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Technical Officer to join the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust. We are located within a modern medicines packing unit in Hither Green. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who wish to experience a different sector in the NHS.
This is a fulltime role and post holders will work a rota pattern covering the operational hours of the service. This role will primarily be based at Hither Green and will require travel to locations across the LAS sites when required.

Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly impact the delivery of life-saving care to patients across London. Main duties of the job
You will be assisting and working within the medicines packing and distribution function of the LAS. Daily activities include: stock checks, medicines packing, processing of drug usage forms. On occasion there may be a requirement to visit ambulance stations for audit work and stock checks to ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework. You will be a champion for medicines management and drive continuous improvement. All training and development will be provided for the post.
The post holder will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, as part of a 7-day service.

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking GP practice.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours across 5 days, providing consistent ANP cover throughout the working week. You will work as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team, managing patients with acute and minor illness, assessing undifferentiated presentations, prescribing where appropriate and supporting the delivery of high-quality same-day care.
We are a busy practice, but one with a strong team ethos and a real focus on providing accessible, personalised care for our patients. You will have the autonomy to manage your own clinical workload while having the support of an experienced GP, nursing and wider practice team.

Main duties of the job
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and minor illness.

Liver Research Nurse - Band 6

The post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating an agreed portfolio of non-commercial and commercial clinical trials. Responsibilities will include setting up clinical trials; identifying patients through MDT's/screening notes and increasing referrals through the data base; collecting data; interviewing; supporting and monitoring patients and data entry. This patient population requires input from a compassionate and caring research professional, with experience caring for and managing patients with cancer; including working with the wider MDT to co-ordinate patient care.
For multi-centre trials led at KCH, the post holder will also be expected to support investigators and their teams at recruiting sites.
The post holder will work closely with the Liver Research Manager, Senior Research Nurse/Clinical Trials Coordinator, medical staff, the Clinical Nurse Specialist Teams, the transplant co-ordinators, radiologists and the pharmacy team.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with the Senior Research Nurse/Clinical Trials Coordinator to manage a caseload of patients, whilst working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and professionals to ensure service delivery.
- Identify patients suitable for entry into clinical trials by attending clinics (screening notes/consultant referral) and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.
- With other members of the healthcare team, ensure patients are fully informed prior to entry in any clinical trial programme.
