Job summary

This is a well-established post but is vacant due to the previous doctor leaving the organisation. This is funded as 6 Programmed Activities (6 PAs) post with 5 Direct Clinical Contact activities (DCC) and 1 Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs).
This is a substantive, part time (3 days) post and we are also open to consider flexible working, job share or fixed term if preferred. The expectation of the post holder is to support their teams, the Directorate and the organisation to follow the Trusts Values in their day-to-day work.

This post is for a Specialty Doctor position in one of our three Intermediate Care Wards, at Mountnessing Court, 240 Mountnessing Road, Billericay, CM12 0EH Rationale for post:
This is a well-established post soon to be vacant due to the previous doctor leaving the organisation. A lot of transformation has taken place already and continues to take place within Intermediate Care Services in Essex.
This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible. This is a replacement, substantive, part time post 6 Programmed Activities (PAs) post with 5 Direct Clinical Contact activities (DCC) and 1 Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs). The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team providing care to adults and older people admitted to the Community Hospital Inpatient ward for Rehabilitation and

Job responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
• To be responsible for the assessment and clerking of new admissions, managing ongoing medical issues and completing electronic discharge letters
• To assist with twice weekly consultant ward rounds and attend once weekly multidisciplinary team meetings for efficient discharge planning.
• To provide clinical response to any emergency clinical issues that might arise.
• To have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them.
• To be responsible for providing accurate records of information using the Systm One electronic medical record as required by the Trust for audit purposes.
To ensure effective risk management at team level by accident/incident reporting, assessing, and controlling risk and ensuring residual risks are added to the Trust’s risk register.
Clinical Skills:
- To act as an autonomous, registered practitioner who is legally and professionally accountable for own unsupervised actions guided by the professional code of conduct and Trust guidelines and protocols.
- The post holder will have full registration with a licence to practice on the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Further professional knowledge will have been gained through accredited courses, workshops, study, and in-house training programmes.
- To be responsible, and accountable, for service delivery to clients/patients.
- To be able to assess and develop care plans to meet the complex needs of patients with a variety of conditions. This includes chronic, acute, and palliative care within own competencies, recognising own limitations and seeking advice when necessary. This will include continuously evaluating and acting on outcomes.
- To be able to initiate referrals to other health professional specialist services and agencies.
- To provide patients and relatives with information and education thus ensuring they have meaningful choices that promote dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- To ensure practice is supported by research, evidence-based practice, literature, and peer review.
Training & Supervision:
- To act as clinical supervisor to junior colleagues (FY/CT/GPVTS/ST), providing effective education, facilitating their development, and promoting high standards of medical care.
- Ensure junior colleagues are actively supported to enable them to achieve their learning needs.
- To ensure own continued professional development and support a culture of lifelong learning in self and others.
- To undertake, and assist, in the planning of own mandatory training and workshops.

Job summary
This is a unique opportunity to become one of the the first Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) in our Urology Department, helping to establish an exciting new role within a forward-thinking and expanding service. As part of our commitment to developing innovative models of care, we are investing in advanced clinical practice to enhance patient experience, improve pathways and strengthen our multidisciplinary team.
Working alongside experienced urology consultants, specialist nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide autonomous, high-quality care for patients with acute, elective and emergency urological conditions across inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory settings. Whether you are an accredited ACP or an experienced clinician looking to undertake the ACP training pathway, you will play a key role in developing this new service and influencing the future of advanced clinical practice within urology.
This role offers the opportunity to shape patient pathways, lead service improvement, contribute to education and research, and make a lasting impact on patient care while developing your own advanced clinical practice career.
Main duties of the job
You will provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with acute, elective and emergency urological conditions, working autonomously within an agreed scope of practice across inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory settings.
Working closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate patient care, request and interpret diagnostic investigations, develop evidence-based management plans and undertake advanced clinical procedures appropriate to your competence.
You will also contribute to service development through quality improvement, audit and the implementation of evidence-based practice, while supporting education, leadership and the continued development of advanced clinical practice within the Urology service. For trainee ACPs, the role includes supported completion of an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and development towards independent practice.

Job summary
Due to the rapid expansion of our Cardiac Surgery research portfolio, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic cardiovascular nurse to join our Cardiac Surgery Research Team. Successful candidates will be involved in a range of clinical trials, involving mostly cardiac surgery patients. Experience in the speciality of cardiac surgery will therefore be essential. You will be working closely with a large multidisciplinary team, including clinical academics, university and commercial trial teams. Ability to engage supportively and effectively with patients and clinical staff will be essential in ensuring that our studies are well delivered and the standards of care of care for our study patients is exemplary.
Training and development will be a key focus in ensuring the successful candidate can develop their expertise in clinical research, within a supportive environment.
Seeing the patients safely through the trials offers lots of patient contact, but additionally the role provides the opportunity to be involved in many elements of the trials from study set up through to closure. This makes for a varied and interesting career choice. Excellent communication skills are essential as a key area of the job is to facilitate the informed consent process.
Main duties of the job
- Assist in the overall set up, organisation and delivery of clinical trials ensuring adherence to ICH-GCP standards within the Research Governance framework and adhering to other related regulations/SOPs.
- Work closely with other research team members, using clear lines of communication with the wider clinical care team and support departments to ensure each patients smooth and safe journey throughout the studies.
- Co-ordinate arrangements for patients participating in clinical trials, according to study protocols, and communicate all necessary information to relevant personnel.
- Work as a team to deliver on larger trials, with more independent working on a portfolio ofsmaller studies.
- Work closely with Trial Managers, Investigators and other members of the wider study team, to trouble shoot issues with trial conduct or blockages to recruitment and work together to resolve these issues.
- Provide guidance and support for junior team members for staff, ensuring that they are fully trained and aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Assist the manager in the day-to-day management of research delivery, deputises in their absence.
- Assist themanager and senior team in the strategic planning and development of the team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Acute Oncology Team, within the Medical Division of Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. If so, we have a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Fetal Medicine Operational Network as the Regional Lead Midwife .
The post holder will be the strategic and midwifery lead for the regional Operational Network (ODN) - specialising in Fetal Medicine .

We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sirona care & health as a Corporate Governance Administrator within our dedicated Corporate Governance Team.
In this key role, you'll provide high quality, confidential and proactive administrative support to help us deliver excellent corporate governance across the organisation. Working closely with colleagues, senior managers, and Board and Committee members, you'll play an important part in ensuring our governance processes run smoothly and professionally.
You'll manage a varied and interesting workload - from coordinating meetings, preparing papers and maintaining key governance registers, to minuting committees, supporting policy management and contributing to the continuous improvement of our governance processes. This is a role where you'll gain valuable insight into how the organisation operates at a senior level and make a meaningful contribution to effective decision-making.
This is a hybrid role, with around two days per week based at our modern Yate headquarters, offering open-plan working, onsite caf facilities and free parking.
Main duties of the job
This role offers excellent development and career progression opportunities, providing exposure to senior decision-making, insight into corporate governance at Board level, and the chance to build specialist knowledge within a supportive and experienced team. You'll be supported to develop your skills in areas such as committee management, policy development and governance best practice.

- Act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing enquiries professionally and supporting smooth governance operations.
