- Communicate using a range of methods to ensure a caring, sensitive and empathetic manner to patients and their relatives.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Major Trauma and rehab team at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
The role is based on Ward 227 - Acute Trauma Rehabilitation Unit
The successful candidate will work as a Senior Staff Nurse for Quality and work alongside the senior team to help maintain patient safety, whilst enhancing practice and supporting staff development.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate should have good communication skills and work well within a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates need a minimum of 2 years experience working with an acute hospital, ideally within a trauma and orthopaedic setting.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about patient care/experience and will be supportive of the senior team.

An opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse or midwife to join a small team of maternity vaccinators. You will work as part of the vaccinators to ensure eligible birthing people are offered vaccinations in pregnancy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oncology/Haematology Advanced Nurse Practitioner . You will provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management for patients with confirmed cancer undergoing SACT.

You will work collaboratively within the MDT, to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated care. You will contribute to service development, clinical governance, and the implementation of evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.
Applicants must be NMC registered and hold (or be working towards) a Master's level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice, including non-medical prescribing. Oncology experience and strong clinical decision-making skills are essential.
There will be a requirement to work across - Royal Stoke and County.

The Critical Care Unit at the UHNM is a 36-bedded, dedicated state of the art facility, which provides care for seriously ill patients from across a range of medical and surgical specialities including neurosurgery and major trauma as well as being one of the designated Major Trauma Centres within the West Midlands. We provide the highest standards of care for patients who have sustained traumatic brain and spinal injuries.

The Anticoagulation clinical Nurse Specialist is a critical role, responsible for the safe,effective, and evidenced-based management of patients requiring anticoagulation therapy.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work closely with specialised members of the MDT such as CNS Liver, CNS IBD and CNS Nutrition specialising in Gastro patients and especially with the Bowel Cancer Screening Service
Endoscopy offers flexible working to the staff in line with the trust's flexible working policy.
Endoscopy is now one of the most exciting areas to work within the Trust due to the variable nature of the role and furthermore training will be provided in line with JAG - JETS accredited workforce criteria. Staff receive internal training or from an outside company to ensure that we are working to the most up to date standards.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cancer Centre, we are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking band 5 staff nurse for our cancer centre team within our Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU)
This is a very exciting time to join the Cancer Centre nursing team at the University Hospital of North Midlands and play an integral role in delivering nurse led services within this speciality
The ward consists of a 40 bed in patient unit and an emergency assessment unit which has 3 assessment beds and 5 ambulatory chairs.
We work closely with other departments within the cancer centre consisting of the Radiotherapy Department and chemotherapy outpatients.
We offer a service to any patient receiving cancer treatment within the trust for oncology and haematology disorders that for different reasons require acute medical and Nursing input.
All of our team members are facilitated with their clinical development. We offer training which includes line care consisting of PICC and Hickman line competencies and you will also be supported in gaining you SACT passport a nationally recognised certification to be able to safely deliver chemotherapy .
Your development is important to us. The wards clinical educators have a learning contract plan to assist your development and achieve your clinical competencies. The ward also encourages participation in trust events and also involvement with external professional bodies related to Cancer/Haematological care
Main duties of the job
The treatments received at the cancer centre may include Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Immunotherapy, Brachytherapy, Symptom control, Palliative care and treatment of Haematological disorders.
EAU encompasses both the management of oncology and haematology patients who develop severe complications during systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) , as well as the management of patients who present as oncological and haematological emergencies.
We pride ourselves on the high quality, evidence-based care that we deliver on the ward to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. As a valued team member you will be required to keep yourself updated with best evidenced based practise. On the ward we have link nurses for all aspects of care. Job summary
The Specialist Nurse will work in collaboration with the Neurological Clinical Team and the Directorate Team to provide management of care of the highest quality to all patients accessing the Specialist Outpatient Clinics.
Main duties of the job
Contributing to the development of the service, facilitating innovation and evidence based Nursing through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team.
Act as a credible and professional role model, encourage and empower staff to develop both personally and professionally to achieve their maximum potential.
Liaise with the MDT and facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care.
The post holder will be expected to exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and make critical judgements using specialist knowledge and skills in order to provide the highest standard of holistic care for patients with Epilepsy
The post holder will provide clinical leadership and work in partnership with the multidisciplinary teams, patients, relatives and carers in managing the clinical caseload for the patient cohort.
The post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist programmes of care and provide support to both patients and families.
