Job summary
Working within the Private Care Division of the world-famous Royal Marsden Foundation Trust you will be working within a Billing and Credit Control team based in Wallington, Surrey. We are looking for someone to work with us as part of the team responsible for the collection of all invoices in respect of patients attending the hospital for treatment privately, sponsored by International Embassies. The successful candidate will need to be methodical, accurate, good Excel skills and have an excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required as the post involves direct contact with sponsors, patients, and staff at all levels.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for administering the processes and processing of cash receipting of all monies paid to Private Care of the Royal Marsden Foundation Trust in an accurate and timely manner.
- Working closely with the teams within Billing and Credit Control and Admissions, Accounts, Cashier, Bank and external Private Medical Insurers, Embassy's and self-payers, the Cash Receipting Officer will ensure full the utilisation of our systems and resources to accurately and timely post incoming cash to the patient ledger.
- The Cash Receipting Officer will seek to improve, develop and adapt processes to achieve seamless cash posting and ensure processes run smoothly.
- They will be expected to adopt a professional and caring attitude, with a polite and courteous manner in all aspects of communication.

Job summary
We have seven modern theatres in Chelsea which includes three robotic theatres. We cover a wide range of specialties, including Sarcoma and Melanoma, Upper and Lower GI, Plastics, Head and Neck, Gynaecology, Urology and Breast, using a wide range of surgical techniques. Our theatres scrub team is trusted, skilled, hardworking and supportive, and we're looking for a motivated and experienced scrub nurse or experienced scrub ODP who can demonstrate leadership qualities and a real interest in high quality perioperative care to join us.

Main duties of the job
- To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which have been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- As a member of the theatre team to perform all the tasks of a registered theatre nurse/ODP including resuscitation, scrub and circulation following all checks and procedures as laid down in National and Trust theatre policy. The post holder is expected to carry out all the relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise underqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex scrub equipment (diathermy, laparoscopic, robotic etc). To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularly relating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes and sterilisation of instruments.
- Take on responsibilities for ordering stock and non-stock supplies and arranging timely servicing of this equipment, both routine and urgent.
- Support the continuing specialist professional development of all staff in Chelsea Theatres by acting as a role model and mentor, in conjunction with the specialist practice educators and Theatre sister/charge nurse.
- Provide high quality, individualised, evidence-based care to patients/clients and relatives/carers in collaboration with the multi-professional team, in line with the local and national targets.

Smithers ward is a friendly 23-beded oncology ward caring for patients with a wide range of cancers throughout their treatment pathway. On the ward we specialize in SACT administration, surgical treatments, symptom management and palliative care.
Smithers ward is committed to supporting ongoing professional and personal development, with a ward-based practice educator this allows us to fulfil this aspect and ensure individuals gain clinical competencies in a timely manner. In addition, the hospital offers academic programs and modules via the Royal Marsden school and on Smithers ward we support engagement in these.

As a Band 5 Recovery Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, individualised post-anaesthetic care to patients undergoing a wide range of complex surgical procedures. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within the recovery environment, using sound clinical judgement to recognise changes in a patient's condition, initiate appropriate interventions and escalate concerns promptly. You will work collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre practitioners to ensure safe and effective patient care and transfer from the recovery area.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of needs of patients. To carry out all relevant forms of care for patients of all specialities. To maintainsupervision of unregistered staff, during each spell of duty. To be able to teach other nursing /ODP staff including nurse/ ODP learners.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex theatre equipment (glidoscope, bronchoscopes etc) with responsibility for ordering stock and non-stock supplies and arranging timely servicing ofthis equipment, both routine and urgent. To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularly relating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes & sterilisation of instruments.
- Support the senior staff and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining excellent clinical standards of clinical practice and staff development as part of the theatre team.
- Provide specialist clinical advice Trust wide to support and facilitate high quality, individualised, evidence-based care to patients/ clients and relatives/ carers in collaboration with the multi professional team, in line with the local and national targets.

Main duties of the job
- To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which have been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.

Main duties of the job
- To be a expert practitioner in Recovery and act as an effective, professional and clinical role model. To lead, co-ordinate, organise and take full responsibility and accountability for the daily management and organisation of Recovery in Chelsea; this involves managing a wide range of complex and sometimes conflicting priorities including staff management. - As a member of the theatre team to perform all the tasks of an ODP/theatre nurse including all checks and procedures as laid down in National and Trust Theatre Policy. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our proactive Critical Care Outreach Team for a 12 months fixed term contract. We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced and highly motivated critical care nurse who will work with the team to support us in the delivery of a high-quality 24-hour service across both Chelsea and Sutton sites. You will work collaboratively to provide acute oncology care to at risk or deteriorating cancer patients. You will carry out advanced assessment and care of deteriorating patients leading to early intervention and treatment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously is essential. You will be part of the Resuscitation team/Hospital@Night and would be required as an ALS provider to lead rescue interventions and facilitate transfers to and from critical care. You will work a mixture of days and nights as well as weekends within the team.
You will be involved in the service development, improvement and participate actively in audit and research. You would need to demonstrate leadership and managerial expertise as a Band 7 Charge Nurse/Sister in Critical Care Outreach.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a 24-hour Critical Care Outreach (CCO) service across the Chelsea and Sutton site.
- To be an active member of the hospital at night (H@N) team.
- To identify patients who are acutely deteriorating and are for active treatment.
- To work in collaboration with the Critical Care Unit team (CCU), Medical/Surgical teams and the Clinical Site Practitioner (CSP) to assess and treat the acutely deteriorating patient.
- To follow up all patients discharged from CCU/Step-up to ensure patients do not deteriorate clinically on step down from the unit.

The GI & Lymphoma Research Unit is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Practitioner to join our research team on a one-year fixed-term contract.
The Assistant Practitioner is a valued member of the multidisciplinary research team, supporting registered nurses and other clinical staff in the delivery of high-quality clinical and research care to patients participating in clinical trials and research studies.
