We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Education and Development Team as a Placement Learning Facilitator. In this rewarding role, you will support and enhance the placement experience for learners, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress from student to registered practitioner.
Working across a range of clinical settings, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote high-quality learning environments that support evidence-based practice and excellent patient care. You will also contribute to the delivery of education and development programmes that support staff development, recruitment, retention and wellbeing across the Trust.
The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, including higher education institutions, clinical teams and professional bodies, to coordinate and further develop high-quality practice learning opportunities. You will help ensure that placements meet the standards and requirements of NHS England, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), supporting the development of a skilled and compassionate future workforce.
Main duties of the job
This rewarding role will lead the coordination and planning of practice placements across the Trust, ensuring learners receive high-quality clinical learning experiences that support their education, professional development and transition into practice.
Working closely with Higher Education Institutions, clinical teams and placement providers, you will coordinate placements across a range of professions, learner cohorts and academic programmes. You will help maintain high-quality learning environments, supporting the preparation of Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors in line with the Trust's commitment to quality, patient safety and excellent patient experience.
You will contribute to PARE profiles, educational audits and improvement plans, support student evaluation processes, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance placement quality and learner experience.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work independently, build effective relationships and provide support to learners and staff. The role is primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional off-site working and flexibility required for university events.

Band 6 Midwives will provide and coordinate high-quality care while demonstrating clinical leadership, supporting junior colleagues and students, and contributing to education, quality improvement and service development. Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, individualised care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods, considering physical, psychological, social, cultural and emotional needs.
- Assess, monitor and evaluate maternal and fetal wellbeing, developing and reviewing appropriate care plans and interventions.
- Promote informed choice and shared decision-making through clear, accurate and evidence-based information.
- Recognise and respond promptly to changes or deterioration in maternal or fetal condition, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Provide safe care during normal labour and birth within professional competence and seek appropriate support when required.
- Deliver high-quality postnatal care, including assessment of maternal recovery, emotional wellbeing, newborn health and infant feeding.
- Undertake newborn observations and assessments within scope of practice and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Administer medicines safely in accordance with prescriptions, professional standards and local policies.
- Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records and ensure effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.

9 month fixed term contract
The Rotherham 0-19 Childrens Public Health Nursing Service are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with initiative and drive in order to deliver high quality public health nursing.
You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to collaborative working with a focus on the child, be committed to achieving positive health outcomes for children and families in Rotherham, as well as a keen interest in developing services.
You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery, have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. We offer flexible and agile working options.
An in depth knowledge of the current health agenda relating to children's services is essential.
The successful applicants will work in a well-supported team with close links to other professionals both internally and externally to the trust.
You will have an important role in recognising and protecting vulnerable children and liaising with our partner agencies.
The successful candidate will work across the 0-19 service ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality services to a caseload of babies, children, young people and their families - using research-based evidence to inform practice with agreed professional standards.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a consistent, effective, accessible and appropriate 0-19 Service for children, young people and their families
- To work in partnership with agencies and families
- To signpost to partner agencies where assessed as required
- To lead the delivery of public health and universal and targeted interventions across the 0-19 years age range for a defined population and will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities.
- The team will work proactively using a partnership approach to promote health and contribute to tackling health inequalities within the level of competencies required for the post.
- You will work with children, young people and families within the home environment, school or other identified community setting.
