Job summary
JOB SUMMARY:
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care with the multidisciplinary team and patients' families.
As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse you will be required to support the senior and junior team in ensuring the needs of our patients are met through the delivery of high-quality care. The role involves working as part of a large multidisciplinary team including the ED medical team, clinical practice educators safeguarding, mental health liaison team and clinical specialties. The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse works clinically including unsocial hours and will be expected to work competently in all areas of the Emergency Department as well as being able to independently take charge of them.
The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse will assist their Team leader with managing their own team of nurses and ensuring they meet their potential. You will also be responsible for link roles giving you the opportunity to drive change and improve standards.
We are looking for an inspirational nurse who enjoys teamwork and making a difference to the team and the patients.
Main duties of the job
To demonstrate advanced clinical expertise in the care of patients receiving emergency or clinically urgent treatment in the department.
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of patients on an ongoing basis, coordinating the care given by all members of the clinical team.
To accurately assess and interpret clinical information about the patient's condition prior to medical intervention.
To instigate appropriate emergency treatment and promptly report change.
To manage the clinical workload effectively, ensuring care is prioritized appropriately.
To be actively involved with the ongoing organization of the department, including liaison with clinical site managers to ensure optimal bed usage at all times, paediatric teams and the ED management team facilitating timely admission and discharge of patients instigating escalation policies as necessary.
To assist the team Leader with an identified group of staff, monitoring and documenting the development of their clinical skills, and recording workforce information.
To assist Team Leaders, Matrons and Head of Nursing in recruitment and retention, sickness management and performance management and develop own skills as required.

Northmid as part of the RFL group is one of London's busiest healthcare providers, providing hospital care and community services for the 350,000 people living in Enfield, Haringey and beyond.

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced ENT band 6 nurse to join our dynamic MDT at the Royal Free trust but will predominantly work at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals with occasional Royal Free hospital cover.
You will work independently and collaboratively, managing a clinical caseload, lead nurse-led clinics, and support patients throughout their journey
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership: Support the management ENT patients, conducting clinical assessments, planning care, and initiating treatment plans for in and out patients .Nurse-Led Clinics: Run autonomous clinics (e.g,minor procedures such as micro suction, tracheostomy tube change clinics, wound care clinics, & allergy testing).MDT Collaboration: Work closely with ENT Consultants, Speech & Language Therapists and other MDT to coordinate patient journeys.Patient Education: Act as a key resource for patients and families, providing expert advice, support, and detailed information regarding conditions and treatment plans.Service Development: Support clinical audits, drive evidence-based practice, and contribute to the development of departmental guidelines and policies.
You will be supported by the band 7 CNS and ENT matron whilst working within a small supportive team of CNS's who take pride in providing compassionate care and maintaining excellent communication between them.

As a member of the Adult Hospital @ Home (AH@H) service, you will be a skilled and adaptable nurse, contributing to both the Community Admission Avoidance and Accelerated Discharge pathways. The AH@H service aims to deliver early supported discharge, admission avoidance, and ongoing treatment within patients' own homes, ensuring safe, effective care in the community.
This includes reviews of adults experiencing worsening medical or functional conditions in their usual place of residence and works closely with wider community services to prevent clinical deterioration and avoid acute hospital admission.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 nurse, you will undertake complex, holistic assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions, and exercise sound clinical judgement within your professional scope. You will provide high-quality care, advice, and education to patients and carers, promoting independence and optimising quality of life.
You will be responsible for visiting patients requiring complex, time-critical assessment and intervention to prevent avoidable admissions and support early discharge.
Referrals to the AH@H service may come from Rapid Response, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), Accident & Emergency, NMUH wards, Barnet Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital, and community sources including GPs, care homes, community nursing teams, and London Ambulance Service (LAS).

We are looking for a Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic community diabetes service serving the London Borough of Enfield. This is a 37.5hrs permanent contract.
The successful candidate should have the ability to undertake advanced clinical assessments of patients with a diagnosis of diabetes providing appropriate clinical intervention, support, non-medical prescribing (desirable) , and advice to patients and carers.
This role provides nursing support within the community diabetes service, providing tier 3 intermediate service and supporting primary care (Tier 1 and 2) and allowing appropriate referrals into secondary care (Tier 4). This a community post but the successful candidate will very closely with the acute care, Diabetes service across West and North London ICB , Enfield GP Federation and all other key stakeholders.
The role will promote the health and wellbeing of people with diabetes enabling them to achieve optimum Glycaemic, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and other key parameters. The nurse role is key to encouraging compliance with medication through informed self-management and education.
Main duties of the job

The Integrated Diabetes Service is a nurse-led service supported by a multidisciplinary team, including a diabetes consultant, clinical nurse lead, diabetes specialist nurses, dietitian, psychologist, healthcare assistant, and a health and wellbeing coach.
The service delivers specialised care for adults with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including support for pregnancy, renal, and preconception clinics. Care is provided through a fully integrated model, with close collaboration between community and acute teams.
The service adopts a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach. Clinical activities include assessment, diagnosis, shared decision-making, and the delivery of personalised treatment and management plans, focusing on achieving the three treatment targets and completing the nine key diabetes care processes.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a nursing service within infection prevention and control by receiving direct referrals.

Job summary
The post holder will provide high quality front line administrative support to the lower ground floor incorporating the adult assessment area (AAU), Emergency Department (ED) and same day emergency care (SDEC) areas. Staff are expected to work shift patterns, including nights and weekends where they would work independently.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to the role of Staff Nurse - Specialist School Nursing within a full time role, located at Cedar House, within our St. Michael's Community Hospital site within the Specialist School Nursing team. Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, with an interest in special school nursing. The post holder will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will work as part of the SSN Nursing Team with support from the SSN manager and band 6 Nursing Team. Will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation of evidence-based care to children and work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless service for the children.
The post holder will work in line with Trust policies, protocols, objectives, and local guidelines, whilst also being aware of the importance of their role in supporting members of the team, always adhering to the Trust values, and practicing in line with NMC regulations. He/ she will act as an effective clinical support for students.
They will be responsible for the assessment of everyday healthcare needs, the development and implementation of health care plans or intervention programmes, ensuring that health care oplans are updated as necessary and suitable for use by education staff.

Job summary
A development opportunity has arisen for an Emergency Department nurse who isahighly motivated individual with a passion for Emergency Nursing and for supporting and developing nurses within the department.
The post holder will be fully supported by the band 7 Clinical Practice Educator and ED Matrons all of whom are responsible for leading the ED nursing Teams across an integrated Children's Emergency Department and an Urgent Treatment Centre.
We also offer training and support for the successful candidate with options of attending personal development courses such as Masters Programmes and Teaching qualifications.
We pride ourselves in providing education and training to all staff within the Emergency Department and run accredited Foundations of Emergency Care and Advanced Emergency Care courses for children and adults of which you will be heavily involved in the delivering and running of.

Main duties of the job
The CPE's main nursing duties include but are not inclusive to:
- Facilitating training days for the nursing team and student nurses.
- Facilitating 3 month and 6 month probationary reviews.
- Able to present and teach.

The MDT Co-ordinator role aims to ensure the smooth running of the MDT case conferences by ensuring the MDT meetings run effectively and are well structured. All patients are treated and discussed according to evidence-based protocols. While providing an efficient and confidential administrative service to the Proactive team & Community Matron Team. An opportunity has arisen for Administrators in the District Nursing Service working in the borough of Enfield.

There is an exciting opportunity available within the in- patient Palliative care team at the Royal Free site. We are a dynamic and supportive team who offer various learning opportunities whilst in post.
The CNS contributes to the provision of specialist palliative care in the acute hospital setting for patients facing life-limiting illnesses (within the remit of the multi- disciplinary team) accepting patient referrals to agreed criteria and managing their own caseload with the support of the Lead Nurse and Consultant Nurse. They will provide advice, education and support to patients, their carers and other health and social care professionals. They will contribute to the development and smooth running of the service. The post holder will work to agreed professional, departmental and Trust boundaries as required to provide patient centred seamless care and will take part in the 7 day / week service to hospital patients and North Camden community patients.
Main duties of the job
To manage a caseload and provide an expert and autonomous nursing service for patients with life limiting illness and potentially facing end of life care issues, and support them and their families, using advance clinical judgement and knowledge in palliative care.To lead and innovate nursing practice in palliative care on the Royal Free Hospital site.To take part in a 7 day / week face to face clinical nurse specialist - specialist palliative care service.To contribute to the weekly specialist palliative care MDTTo design and deliver specialist palliative care education; and deliver palliative and end of life education. Job summary
The post-holder will play a key role in ensuring that the Trust provides high quality, patient focused care within the specialist endocrine nursing service; providing expert advice and support to patients, families and health care professionals using best evidence-based practice. The post holder will work independently/autonomously and at times without direct supervision and will be accountable for their own professional actions. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate highly developed and specialist knowledge and skills through innovative practice leading to the development of increasing levels of autonomy. Using specialist nursing practice, the post holder will manage a cohort of patients with specific and defined endocrine conditions referred for specialist intervention, care and support. The post holder will be expected to establish and maintain close relationships with other Endocrinology services in the region and working collaboratively to improve services for patients. The post-holder will be a core member of Endocrine Clinical Specialist Nursing Team working in all areas of Endocrinology. The post-holder will focus in supporting endocrine consultant clinics, developing, and running various nurse-led clinics, performing dynamic function tests, carrying out training and teaching session for staff, patients and their families as well contribute to the delivery of endocrine research.
Main duties of the job
- Provide an evidence-based specialist Endocrinology and Metabolism nursing service, to a cohort of patients referred to the endocrinology team. Care will reflect current local protocols and national guidelines and will be delivered through face-to-face consultation within the MDT clinics; by telephone or via electronic communication on a day-to-day basis.
- To ensure that all patient referrals are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
- Demonstrate practice skills in the holistic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for the cohort of patients within the specialist service. This will necessitate high levels of autonomy and advocacy, using analytical and judgmental skills in undertaking nurse-led consultation to ensure the delivery of appropriate care.
- Manage a cohort of patients and prioritise workload to meet patient and service need.
- Undertake clinical training and supervision to achieve appropriate competencies relevant to this specialist service (e.g. endocrine and late effects nurse-led clinics; dynamic function tests; preparation, administration and monitoring of specialist endocrine treatment; health assessment and non-medical prescribing) to demonstrate expertise in specialist Endocrinology and Metabolism nursing roles.

Main duties of the job
Working shifts as a bank registered mental health nurse across wards and departments as part of the multidisciplinary team, in a variety of clinical settings to deliver the highest quality care to our patients, in line with our trust values
As an accountable registered mental health nurse you will be responsible for delivering excellent care to allocated patients providing mental health care and support, for each clinical area you work on.
Clinical duties, across a range of clinical settings, include providing one to one enhanced care for patients requiring support and supervision including patients waiting mental health assessment, psychosis, dementia and delirium care.
