The Administrative Line Manager will be responsible for the line management of administrative and clerical staff and the day to day running of administrative functions within the Emergency Department (North).

They will provide leadership and support to reception staff, including responsibility for rotas, annual leave, sickness/absence management, 1:1s, appraisals, training, recruitment and performance matters, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
The post holder will also provide daily administrative and operational support to ED Consultants and SAS Doctors, acting as a key point of contact and assisting with the effective coordination of their administrative requirements.
Working closely with clinical, operational and administrative colleagues, the post holder will support the smooth day-to-day running of the Emergency Department, identifying and resolving issues and contributing to improvements in systems, processes and service delivery.
Working Pattern: 0.8 WTE (30hrs pw)

Our Main theatre department covers a wide range of specialities: Colorectal, Upper Gi, Urology, MaxFax & ENT, Plastic & Breast, Orthopaedic Trauma, 24 hour general emergency cover, and we have recently open a state of the art Hybrid Vascular suite. We also have two DaVinci robots that are shared between General surgery, Urology, ENT and Gynaecology.
We work closely with colleagues in our other theatre departments such as our Orthopaedic theatres (PEOC), Centre for Womens Health (CWH) and our Community sites, so we do ask for flexibility when needing to support other areas.
We ask that our ODPs dual role were possible to deliver high-quality care between anaesthetics and scrub, however extensive experience in one area would not be ruled out.
Shifts include weekends, nights and On calls including emergency general and maternity cover.
What youll be doing
- Delivering highquality perioperative care across anaesthetics and scrub
- Supporting consultants and theatre colleagues to ensure safe, efficient surgical lists
- Preparing and maintaining clinical environments to the highest standards
- Acting as a patient advocate throughout their surgical journey
- Contributing to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Teaching and supporting students and new starters

Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a fulltime Registered Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Anaesthetic Nurse to join the Heavitree Day Case Team. The post holder will work closely with the Day Surgery team to deliver a highquality, safe service for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This includes supporting the perioperative patient pathway and contributing to difficult airway management, with full training and support provided.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for delivering care to adult and paediatric surgical patients without direct supervision. This role provides specialist support to patients throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. You will run nurse-led clinics, participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, and arranges diagnostic tests and investigations to support timely, effective care.

We also work in partnership with Over and Above Cancer Charity based in the Fern Centre, which provides a wide range of practical, emotional and wellbeing support for patients and their families.
In addition, the Royal Devon Hospitals Charity is investing in the future of cancer care through initiatives including the Light Beam Appeal for surface guided radiotherapy and the transformation of the Fern Centre garden.

This role is to manage the day-to-day running of our PSA tracker a remote monitoring service for men who are being followed up after a prostate cancer diagnosis. It will involve reviewing results and actioning those results that are suspicious of progression or recurrence of disease. This role is supported by our cancer support worker and you would coordinate investigations and care, liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team in particular the urologists. You will run nurse-led clinics and arrange diagnostic tests and investigations to support timely and effective care. We are looking to expand the PSA tracker to include patients on active surveillance so initially the role will also look at policy and implementation of this.
A key part of the role is communicating cancer diagnoses and recurrences with sensitivity and compassion, discussing treatment options, and helping patients make informed decisions about their care. You will provide ongoing support to patients and their families, including during disease progression and end-of-life care.

This role provides specialist urology care to patients with a variety of bladder dysfunction bladder outlet obstruction from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. You will run nurse-led clinics such as One stop LUTS, TWOC, bladder treatments, recurrent UTI, Functional urology issues, nephrosotomy care and Intermittent self catheterisation teaching to name but a few. You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, arrange and provide diagnostic tests and investigations to support timely, effective care.
You will be actively involved in Audit and service development
You will coordinate care across services, making referrals to appropriate support networks and managing treatment-related side effects and ongoing patient needs, ensuring patients receive holistic, patient-centred care at every stage of their pathway.

The Lead Urology Nurse will provide strategic, professional and operational leadership for the urology nursing workforce across the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Working in partnership with senior clinical and operational colleagues, the post holder will drive the development of integrated urology services, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality care for patients receiving treatment for both benign and malignant urological conditions.

The Lead Urology Nurse will provide strategic, professional and operational leadership for the urology nursing workforce across the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Working in partnership with senior clinical and operational colleagues, the post holder will drive the development of integrated urology services, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality care for patients receiving treatment for both benign and malignant urological conditions.
The role will work closely with the Care Group leadership team, Consultant Urologists, Advanced Practitioners, the Lead Cancer Nurse and multidisciplinary colleagues to develop and implement the Trust's strategic vision for urology services.

This post is based in Plymouth, supporting the Devon locality.
