Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain a professional, efficient, effective and timely service to patients, visitors and other departments that will contribute to achieving high quality patient care.
To ensure the service supports the clinical care of patients and respects the privacy and dignity of every patient.
To ensure the health and safety of both the recipients and of those delivering the service.
To contribute towards the development of best practice within the department and to the training of new starters and inexperienced staff.
To assist the Porter Management Team in the development of the service.
To provide a portering service to whole of Royal Cornwall Hospital. Additionally, to provide a portering service to other sites as required.
Due to the service being at times unpredictable, you will be expected to provide a flexible and reactive service.

The Research & Development Department at RCHT are excited to be able to offer the post of Research Nurse Associate to work within the team.
This is a unique and novel role within Cornwall which will work as part of the clinical research team to support the recruitment of participants intoclinical trials. Working closely with the Senior Research Nursing team and within the competencies of the role, in line with the NMC Code ofConduct, the Nurse Associate will be a crucial part of of the clinical team, helping to advance research at RCHT.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be dedicated to advancing clinical research within the Research & DevelopmentDepartment. The role involves supporting, coordinating, and overseeing research studies in line withthe competencies of the role and scope of practice under the NMC registration, ensuring adherence toethical, legal and regulation standards. The Research Nurse Associate plays a key role in patient care,data collection and study coordination, collaborating with other healthcare professionals and providersfrom across the Trust.They will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring patient safety, and contributing tothe overall success of research goals. Job summary
An experienced senior Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner is required to lead and develop the multi- disciplinary team in CEPOD / General Theatres.
We regularly support learners from multiple disciplines. The appointed Theatre Team Lead will be expected to rotate between Tower and Trelawney Theatres.
You will need to be a good leader, communicator, role model and have excellent standards of practice.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the Team Leader (TL) position is to provide on-going professional and clinical leadership to the theatre teams who are delivering perioperative care, whilst working collaboratively with the clinicians (surgeon and anaesthetist) as part of the wider multi-professional team.
The TL will assume the delegated responsibility for managing and leading the delivery of care, in a rostered shift, for patients entering the department.
The appointed Theatre Team Lead will be expected to rotate between Tower and Trelawney Theatres.
This includes the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation for every individual patient's programme of care.

Job summary
The Private Patient Officer is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the Trust's private patient service, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for insured, self-funded and private patients throughout their care journey. The post holder will oversee private patient pathways from initial enquiry through to treatment, discharge and invoicing, ensuring all activity is accurately recorded, authorised and charged in line with NHS legislation, Trust policies and contractual requirements.
Working closely with clinical teams, finance colleagues, insurers and patients, the role provides specialist advice on private patient processes, funding and charging arrangements, supports income capture and billing accuracy, and helps maximise private patient income. The post holder will also contribute to service improvement, data quality, governance and staff training, while delivering a professional, customer-focused service and maintaining excellent standards of patient care and experience.
Based at Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, the role reports to the Paying Patients Manager and requires strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to manage complex patient pathways and work autonomously in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Main duties of the job
The Private Patient Officer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the private patient pathway, acting as a central point of contact for patients, insurers, clinical teams and administrative staff. The post holder ensures that private, self-funded and insured patients progress smoothly through their treatment journey, from initial enquiry and admission through to discharge and invoicing. Key duties include validating funding arrangements and insurance authorisations, applying private patient tariffs, ensuring all private activity is accurately recorded and charged, resolving complex pathway and billing issues, and supporting the Trust's income generation objectives. The role also provides specialist advice and training on private patient processes and charging regulations, monitors data quality and compliance, produces performance and income reports, manages patient concerns and complaints, and contributes to service development and continuous improvement initiatives. Throughout all activities, the post holder is expected to deliver a professional, customer-focused service while maintaining compliance with NHS legislation, Trust policies, GDPR requirements and governance standards.

Job summary
The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust has launched a significant investment in its Cancer Services workforce over the last few years. The additional staff will ensure the service is fit for purpose to provide ongoing excellent care and the roll-out of new technologies and service.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to work within the oncology team as a nurse specialist for metastatic gynae and urological cancers. You will be working closely with the clinical nurse specialist nursing teams, oncology consultants and the wider teams in the Sunrise centre.
This role plays a pivotal part within this service, including meeting the needs of metastatic gynae and urological cancer patients receiving anti-cancer therapy and providing seamless holistic care.
This is a part time permanent position 30 hours per week. Monday, Tuesdays and Thursday with the Gynae team and Fridays with Urology.
