An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner (Band 6) to join the City East Local Mental Health Team (LMHT). We are looking for applicants from a Mental Health Nurse background who are looking at taking the next step in their career to join our team.

LMHT is a community-based service which operates Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
Main duties of the job
The LMHTs provide mental health services for adults across Nottinghamshire.
We help patients and their families cope with periods of severe mental illness and assess, plan and implement a personalised path of recovery. Some of our patients may require short term intervention, and sometimes longer-term care plans will be put in place.
We are seeking an enthusiastic team player, working within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability and experience to manage complex cases in partnership with other agencies. In return the successful applicant will receive training and support to develop specific therapeutic skills to enable them to provide a high-quality service to our patients and their families.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies

Getting into employment can be a critical part of a recovery journey, so you will be focusing on providing motivational, supportive and person centred support to enable people to secure employment
We have an great opportunity an individual to join our Future's Positive Team as community-based Employment Specialists. You will provide individual support to people faced with barriers into employment, using a strength-based approach to gain sustainable paid work. This is a fixed term post covering a secondment and comprises of 10 PAs, split into 8 Direct Clinical Care sessions and 2 Supporting Professional Activities sessions.

Main duties of the job
The Willows is a busy 10-bedded male ward. All doors are anti-barricade and the unit is accessed via an airlock. There is a seclusion room and a de-escalation area. Referrals are taken from the whole of the Nottinghamshire Healthcare catchment area. The team also gatekeep all PICU referrals, providing support and advice to the acute wards. There is a good level of staffing with shifts of 7:7:6 and 40% of staff are qualified. In addition to the band 5 nurses, there is a band 7 ward manager, 4 band 6 clinical team leaders and the remaining staff are band 2 and 3. The MDT also consists of a psychologist, input from the occupational therapy department and a full-time activity coordinator, a CT3 and when allocated an ST. We are supportive of staff development and have a Non-medical Prescriber, and a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
