The successful candidate will be an experienced senior nurse with a strong clinical background and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within women's health services. Main duties of the job
The Senior Breast Care Nurse will act as a clinical expert within Breast Services, providing specialist nursing leadership and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the breast cancer and screening pathways.
The post holder will:
- Provide expert clinical leadership and specialist nursing expertise within Breast Services, ensuring the effective delivery and ongoing development of clinical nursing pathways.
- Support the delivery of breast cancer and screening services by providing professional leadership, clinical advice, and expert guidance to patients, carers, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with Trust policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), national guidance, and best practice standards.
- Provide specialist education, support, and advice to patients throughout their care journey, promoting informed decision-making and a positive patient experience.
- Undertake specialist clinical nursing activity within the Breast Service, maintaining high standards of care and professional practice.

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic Cardiac Nurse to join our Arrhythmia Specialist Nurse team based at Peterborough City Hospital here at NWAFT.
This vacancy provides a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skill set, knowledge and confidence in Cardiac Rhythm Management, and the successful candidate will be joining a team of experienced Arrhythmia Cardiac Specialist Nurses.
Our team provides an acute arrhythmia service within the trust and also delivers independent nurse led clinics, and DC Cardioversion lists.
They work closely with the wider Cardiology medical and nursing teams and receive frequent referrals from the Emergency Department, Ambulatory Care Unit and Inpatient wards. They also provide a patient help line for device / arrhythmia related issues.
The role is busy, and challenging therefore, applications will be welcomed from those who have significant cardiology/ arrhythmia management experience, and are keen to develop into an autonomous practitioner.
For the right applicant consideration may be given for a Band 6 development opportunity.

Main duties of the job
Acute assessment and management of patients presenting with Arrhythmias.
Provide education, advice and information and support to Arrhythmia patients and their families.

Network, liaise and refer suitable patients to the Electrophysiologist and Arrhythmia Team at Tertiary centres.
Deliver Nurse led AF Clinics.
Independently manage and deliver DC Cardioversion List (Elective & Urgent), obtain informed consent.
Maintain close working relationship with Cardiac Physiology team and facilitate management plans for patients with arrhythmias diagnosed on routine investigations.
Work collaboratively with the wider Cardiac Specialist Nurse team and Cath lab team to ensure timely management of arrhythmias.
Develop pathways, standards and guidelines for arrhythmia management.

Main duties of the job
Patient Quality Care
Deliver consistently high standards of patient-centred care, ensuring safety, dignity, and a positive experience throughout all clinic interactions. Support smooth clinic flow and respond promptly to patient needs.
Co-ordinating Shifts & Staffing
Plan and allocate staff across clinic areas to maintain safe staffing levels and an appropriate skill mix.
Shift Management in the Absence of Senior Staff
Provide leadership and oversight when senior staff are unavailable. Escalate concerns appropriately and ensure continuity of safe and effective service delivery.
Troubleshooting
Identify and resolve issues that arise during clinics, including delays, equipment problems, workflow disruptions, and patient queries. Implement timely solutions to minimise impact on patient care.
Minor Procedures
Competently assist with minor procedures within the Outpatients setting, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and patient safety protocols.
Catheterisation
Perform male and female catheterisation safely and confidently, following Trust policies and maintaining patient comfort and dignity.
Venepuncture
Carry out venepuncture efficiently and accurately, supporting diagnostic pathways and ensuring timely collection of blood samples.
Vascular Clinics
Provide skilled wound care, including the assessment and management of complex or non-routine dressings and selecting appropriate dressing products.

Main duties of the job
The primary purpose of the Cancer Patient Pathway and MDT Co-ordinator will co-ordinate and provide administrative support to the cancer multidisciplinary process.
The post-holder will work closely with the wider cancer team (both clinical and administrative), as well as other key health and social care providers, to enable person centred care and efficient implementation of the pathway.
The Cancer Patient Pathway and MDT Co-ordinator will be involved from the beginning of the pathway, to the point of definitive diagnosis (whether cancer or not) and ultimately the patient being treated if cancer is confirmed. They will maintain effective communication with staff and services to ensure tests and appointments are scheduled in a timely manner. The post holder will identify and resolve barriers to care, working flexibly and responsively to unlock bottlenecks and delays.
