An exciting development opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Band 7 Senior sister/Charge nurse to join our dedicated SACT Outreach and Bloods closer to home team.We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and dynamic oncology nurse with proven leadership experience to provide operational, managerial and clinical leadership across our SACT Outreach and Bloods Closer to Home services. This is a rewarding role within a caring and well-led service, supported by strong staffing levels and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.About the RoleThe successful candidate will maintain responsibility for the delivery, quality and ongoing development of the SACT Outreach and Bloods Closer to Home services across all sites. Working collaboratively with Band 7 Departmental Managers within the SACT Directorate and Outpatients, you will act as the operational nursing lead in delivering directorate objectives and ensuring an excellent patient experience through effective workforce planning, resource management and skill-mix utilisation.You will provide visible leadership across all Outreach and Bloods Closer to Home locations throughout Greater Manchester, developing strong relationships and collaborative partnerships with peripheral sites delivering Christie treatments.
Main duties of the job
The Role and TeamIf successful, you will lead and support a team of registered nurses and healthcare support workers delivering care across the SACT Outreach and Bloods Closer to Home services throughout Greater Manchester and Cheshire. The service currently operates across 12 locations, with further expansion anticipated in line with strategic service development and patient demand.The SACT Outreach and Bloods Closer to Home services operate Monday to Friday across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, including Bank Holidays. Future expansion may involve weekend working which you will be required to manage and oversee. As the service continues to grow, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting service expansion, contributing to the development and implementation of new SACT Outreach and Bloods closer to Home clinics, and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care across all sites.Working closely with the Matron and Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for the operational management of the SACT Outreach and Bloods Closer to Home services. This includes oversight of patient care standards, workforce planning, skill mix, resource management and the ongoing development and wellbeing of the nursing and healthcare support workforce.

Service Leadership and Operational Management
- Lead the operational delivery of the SACT Outreach and Bloods Closer to Home services, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality patient care across all locations.
- Plan, review and implement service developments and changes to improve patient experience, clinical effectiveness, capacity and demand management.
- Organise and manage workforce deployment, daily staffing requirements and off-duty rotas to ensure appropriate skill mix and service provision.
- Collaborate with medical staff, multidisciplinary teams and external providers to ensure effective service delivery and utilisation of resources.
- Provide visible leadership across outreach locations and peripheral treatment sites, maintaining effective partnerships and communication networks.
- Deputise for the Matron as required and provide cross-cover and support to other Band 7 managers within the SACT Directorate and Outpatients.
Patient Care and Clinical Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, ensuring accurate and contemporaneous clinical records are maintained.
- Promote and maintain high standards of clinical practice, patient safety and patient experience across all service locations.
- Investigate and manage patient incidents, complaints and concerns in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will coordinate and manage a clinical research portfolio, working collaboratively with the NIHR Clinical Research Network/ENHT and multidisciplinary teams to support patients participating in clinical trials. Responsibilities include screening and identifying eligible patients, maintaining detailed knowledge of study protocols, supporting recruitment in outpatient and inpatient settings, monitoring patient progress, and collecting accurate clinical trial data.

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) role is a vital and valued role within the nursing team. Main duties of the job
Assisting the nursing staff in maintaining a safe environment and delivering a high standard of patient care.
You will be trained to achieve a high level of practical skills for use within the Emergency Department. It is anticipated that you will be capable of undertaking the following duties: baseline observations, ECG recording, cardiac monitoring, venepuncture, cannulation, and basic life support.
You will also gain experience in wound care and closure techniques, application of support/splintage (under instruction from registered nurse), urinalysis, pregnancy testing, and assisting patients with mobility, nutrition, hygiene, and comfort.
In addition to the various clinical skills you will be expected to learn the basic layout and the functioning of medical equipment.

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, assertive and compassionate individual who is ready to take up this challenge in a very busy Same Day emergency Care Unit. The post holder will provide hands on care within the unit working under indirect supervision to gain proficiency in all areas of same-day emergency care. The Ambulatory Care centre is a modern Clinical Facility which opened at the end of 2016. It houses 17 reclining chairs and 3 trolleys with 3 consultation rooms.
Main duties of the job
The SDEC treats adult patients with medical conditions who need same-day emergency treatment that does not require an overnight stay. Patients are referred from A&E, by their GP and from other medical wards. Patients treated in the unit means they have same day care avoiding long waiting times in ED and an admission. The service includes scheduled bloods tests, routine X-ray's and ultrasound, with results reviewed the same day by specialist SDEC Consultants.
The Ward Manager leads a team of staff equipped with acute medical skills and a Matron who oversees the unit.

Good communication and organisational skills are essential, as is experience with this patient group.
Main duties of the job
Supporting a structured routine for the young people offers containment to the family and young person, mirroring this we recognise the benefit a structured timetable offers to staff so in place we offer weekly meetings at 2pm, which include nurse led teaching, group discussion, MDT meetings, monthly team reflective meetings and a weekly facilitated nurse support meeting.
We believe that every interaction with a young person is an opportunity to be therapeutic. Recognising the impact of the work, alongside the weekly reflective group meetings we support monthly individual supervision.Offering greater autonomy to the nurses, provides young people with greater collaboration and empowerment opportunities in their treatment journey.
The role involves supporting junior nursing staff and encouraging their development, this includes staff nurses from child and mental health backgrounds, experienced therapeutic care workers and healthcare assistants.

This role involves working cross-site at University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich and the successful candidate would be managed jointly between the Paediatric and R& D teams.
We are currently looking for a nurse with an interest in Children's research to be part of our team in Children's Services to coordinate the multiple research studies that we have enrolled in alongside the Consultant with an interest in research and the research department.
You will be a part of a friendly, passionate and supportive Research and Development team working together to support the delivery of NIHR portfolio studies and Commercial research studies. It is important that the applicant is self-motivated and has a keen interest in clinical research. Prior experience of working in paediatrics is essential for this role but having research experience is desirable.
Main duties of the job
The role involves working closely alongside the multi-disciplinary team and the research participants and their families. Central to the role is recruitment- undertaking all aspects of a clinical research trial including screening and assessing patient eligibility for the trial, obtaining informed consent, carrying out study procedures, entering study data, undertaking study follow ups in accordance with study protocol. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that any research undertaken within the department safeguards the well-being of the patients and is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines for Research.

Job summary
The postholder will work as part of the Integrated Community Nursing Service on the Isle of Wight, delivering high quality nursing care to patients in their own homes as part of a rapidly developing community based model. As a Registered Nurse, they will contribute to safe, compassionate and evidence based care, supporting the Trust's commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
The role involves working flexibly across three locality teams and collaborating closely with a wide range of partners, including Earl Mountbatten Hospice, Urgent Community Response, Allied Health Professionals, GPs, Practice Nurses, Specialist Nurses, mainland hospitals and voluntary or statutory agencies. The postholder will use strong interpersonal and clinical skills to assess, plan and deliver care, ensuring patients receive the right support in the right place.
For this role you are required to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to vehicle that you can use for work that has business insurance cover, as it involves travel across the island. The postholder must be able to work independently within a busy community environment, demonstrate evidence-based practice, and uphold the Trust's values in all interactions with patients, families and colleagues.

Clinical skills in all types of urinary catheterisation, syringe driver management, wound management and diabetes management are desirable, but not essential.
Support and training will be available to ensure safe a safe transition to working in the community setting.

Job summary
We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
This is for a secondment post until May 2027.
Ward 5B is a 30 bedded emergency orthopaedic ward, compromising of 4 bedded bays and side rooms. We predominately look after patients with fractured neck of femurs as well as other orthopaedic issues such as rib fractures and spinal fractures. As a department we focus on autonomous and nurse led/ patient focused care.
As a registered nurse, you will work closely with your nursing colleagues as well as the wider multidisciplinary team, consisting of doctors, physios, OT and the discharge team. to facilitate the speedy and safe discharges of our patients.
This role will include long days, short days, nights, weekends and bank holidays as per rota.

Main duties of the job
As a registered nurse you will provide a high standard of care and support the team to deliver a high quality service which is linked to high standards of patient care.

Provide patient centred/ focused care
Work with multidisciplinary teams
