We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative Psychotherapist to our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with people with complex mental health needs in a community setting, experience of working closely with MDT colleagues, and a drive for ongoing development of high quality services.
We are able to recruit to either a Band 7 or 8a position depending on your post qualification experience.
You will provide one to one therapeutic input for service use across the North East Essex area, as part of the Specialist Mental Health Team MDT. Your understanding of a person's presenting difficulties will be shared with the team in consultation, supervision and teaching activities which form essential aspects of this role. You will work alongside others trained in a range of models of understanding psychological distress and difficulties, and assist those who use our services to develop their strengths and to build resilience.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside other experienced psychologists and psychotherapists, the successful applicant will be responsible for assessing and formulating service users presenting with complex needs, and planning, delivering and evaluating interventions. You will also provide consultation and training for staff and others, and placements and supervision for trainees and assistants. We are integrated into the local MDTs and close working with colleagues from a range of disciplines is an essential aspect of this role.
This post holder will be based in Colchester however, flexibility is needed, as the team covers both Colchester and Tendring localities.
About usThe successful applicant will join our professional team of psychologists and psychotherapists working in Adult Community Mental Health Services in the North East Essex area of EPUT. The service currently comprises of Psychotherapists, Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists, trainees and assistants. We also have close links with colleagues locally working in the Urgent Care, Personality Disorder and Complex Needs, Specialist Dementia, Perinatal, Eating Disorders, Transitions, and Inpatient settings.

Activity Co-ordinator - Basildon Mental Health Unit
Under the guidance of the Ward Manager, you will be expected to assist in the delivery of recreational activities within the service. Activities will be delivered one to one and through group work and may include creative, social and physical activities, the majority of which will be on the ward environment. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly; as well as working week days, you are required to work some evenings and weekends.
Main duties of the job
- To liaise with ward staff in the planning of recreational activities.
- To lead on recreational activities, working with groups of patients and patients on their own.
- Prepare craft and any other appropriate equipment before patients arrive.
- Maintain stocks of appropriate supplies for use in the activities provided; informing the ward manager of any shortages of stock or equipment needed.
- To develop rapport with patients to encourage their interests and skills, and actively involve them in deciding and planning their participation in activities.
- To be aware of individual patients' needs through communication with nursing staff.
- To liaise with the wider multi-disciplinary team in order to encourage collaboration with the therapeutic timetable.
- To observe general behaviour, ability and response of patients to activities.
- To have an awareness of the situations that may make patients vulnerable or at risk.
- To report any concerns immediately to qualified staff.

Due to funding, one vacancy (4 days/week) can be filled immediately after pre-employment checks are complete and the 2nd vacancy (2.5 days/week) can start on 1st April 2026. More detail will be given at interview.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to help people with mental and/or physical health needs to access employment.
You will be involved in helping people decide on their employment goals, setting and achieving goals, including support with job searching, applications, interview skills and providing ongoing in work support after they have found work.
We are seeking individuals who are person-centred and positive in their outlook, have a 'can do' attitude and enjoy the challenges of helping people to overcome any barriers to finding work. You must have strong communication skills and confidence in order to build up relationships with all relevant stakeholders including local employers and businesses. We welcome applications from experienced or existing Band 7 Parkison's Disease SpecialistNurses as well as nurses working at Band 6 level aspiring to progress into aspecialist nursing role within neurology.

Poplar Adolescent Unit is a general acute ward with 14 beds supporting young people aged 13-18 with a variety of mental health issues.
Poplar Adolescent unit is an innovative service with an MDT passionate in developing nurses. We can provide further CAMHS training via our CAMHS preceptorship programme and opportunities for further development in our award winning DBT programme, ASD and more.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work as a member of our multi- disciplinary team involved in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents who access our services.
This will involve key working young people and supporting them on their recovery journey. You will work collaboratively with the young people to develop care plans, risk assessments and positive behaviour support plans, contributing to expanding the resources young people and their family need to support care in the community.
You may be required to support the therapies team with our therapeutic timetable, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your psychological skills.

Job summary
The post holder carries responsibility for the assessment of care needs and their development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for Adults and Older Adults with mental health problems that are referred to the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team.
