It would suit an experienced senior ITU speciality/registrar doctor who is interested in gaining further clinical experience/specialist interest area (SIA) prior to application for CCT/CESR/Portfolio pathway.We are a large & diverse 57 bedded ICU looking for a senior specialist clinical fellow to join us for, commencing in August 2024. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a doctor with an interest in critical care to develop as a clinician. The post is designed to provide a wide range of critical care experience, including peri-operative medicine for complex major surgery, neuro-intensive care, follow up clinic and working with a range of specialities to continue to develop critical care services within the Trust.We provide a wide range of training opportunities making these posts ideal for doctors hoping to enter specialty training at stage 2/3 or apply for CESR or portfolio pathway.
Main duties of the job
- Contribute to the provision of a high quality, responsive critical care service to Barking,Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust that assumes responsibility for the patients within the catchment area in co-operation with colleagues in anaesthetics and other clinical departments. This will involve caring for patients on the ITUs and HDUs at Queen's Hospital and/or King George Hospital, reviewing patients and initiating critical care treatment in Accident & Emergency, theatre recovery and ward areas, and undertaking transfer of patients (both intra- and inter-hospital).
- Comply with the agreed job plan, which will be reviewed annually.
- Participate in an emergency out of hours resident on-call cover for critical care medicine.
- Contribute to postgraduate and continuing education for medical, nursing, technical staff, GP's and other allied professions.
- Deputise in the absence of departmental colleagues in cases of annual leave and (where practicable) short-term sickness.

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Midwife for an exciting dual-role position within Maternity Birth Centre. The post holder will provide senior clinical leadership on a shift pattern, coordinate care and patient flow, and oversee the safe and effective management of Birth Centre and safe staffing. You will support women and birthing people, ensuring timely assessment, escalation and appropriate multidisciplinary management. Main duties of the job
To be able to have a helicopter view of the acuity within maternity unit including the community and ongoing home births to enable redeployment as per clinical need.

Promote high standards of specialist care for patients in all areas of maternity, ensuring a quality experience is received.

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Midwife to join our maternity team as a Flow Coordinator. The post holder will provide senior clinical oversight of the maternity unit, coordinating patient flow, staffing and redeployment in response to acuity and service pressures. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Children's Nurse to lead the Enhanced Pediatrics Oncology Shared Care Unit (POSCU Level A) at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. This permanent post is 0.57 WTE (21.3 hours per week).
As Lead Nurse, you will provide strategic, professional and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality paediatric oncology care, including infusional chemotherapy. Working closely with the Primary Treatment Centre (PTC), Children's Directorate, community nursing teams and partner organisations, you will help develop and enhance the service while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Our Children's Services span Queen's Hospital and King George's Hospital, offering inpatient wards, HDU, CYPAU, a day unit with an established POSCU and hematology service, outpatient clinics, a Level 2 NICU, community outreach, and busy emergency departments. You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team with strong nursing leadership and excellent opportunities for professional development, leadership training and academic progression through our university partnerships.

Main duties of the job
To work in close collaboration as a member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to contribute to the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, education and training, practice, service development and research/audit within the POSCU 1A service.
The postholder will utilise management and leadership skills to contribute to nursing practice to improve the quality of care to patients in line with national guidance and policy in the care and management of POSCU. The postholder will provide support and advice to MDT colleagues and other professional groups internally and externally as an advocate for the Trust's POSCU service.
