Job summary
We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead our student midwives at Newham University hospital Barts Health NHS Trust. You will join the existing post holders at Newham Hospital to support the delivery of student midwife education to enable the provision of compassionate high quality clinical care in Barts Health.
You will be responsible for working with our mentors and HEIs to support the education and development of our student midwives, identifying and addressing their education needs, enabling them to successfully complete their training programme fit for purpose and practice. You will work closely with the education teams and senior midwifery colleagues to maintain high clinical standards within the unit.
The role has a strong clinical focus and therefore you will be able to demonstrate expertise in intrapartum care and specifically the use of NICE guidance and expert knowledge of key obstetric emergencies and fetal monitoring.
You must have studied at degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of midwifery experience at band 7 level and have worked as a practice assessor and supervisor, providing teaching and mentoring support for students.
Main duties of the job
The role of midwifery Clinical Placement Facilitator is to lead the education and development of all student midwives within maternity services and other learning environments. The individual will work collaboratively and strategically with the Practice Development Midwife and the education team, maternity lecturers in linked HEI's, the Trust Education team and the senior midwifery team to ensure clinical teaching is of the highest standard. The post holder must be an effective communicator able to confidently deliver lectures and presentations. They must have the skills to support midwives in facilitating student learning in practice. The post holder will need to have effective organisational and management skills to facilitate the needs of various student groups in practice.

You will work in a team with other multi-disciplinary professionals including Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Administrators and other support staff, on a rota system between the hours of 8am-8pm over a 7 day working period.
You will need excellent communication and clinical skills and have experience of working within a team. You will be required to use electronic patient record systems, in addition to this you will have good time management and be able to prioritise your own work load.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role and whilst we are looking for full time hours, we can consider part time hours.
Main duties of the job
Undertake appropriate delegated initial holistic assessments and implement programmes of care for patients who are acutely and chronically unwell
Assess and monitor service users' health needs, assessing patient condition and well-being
Use clinical reasoning skills, within the designated competency framework, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate, patient- centred intervention programmes
Collaborate with service users, carers and family in identifying appropriate and achievable goals
Contribute to the facilitation of appropriate referrals to other services
Work within a multi-disciplinary team, to provide integrated skills and share knowledge

Job summary
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Staff Nurse to join the progressive and dedicated Day Surgery Services team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, based on Day of Surgery at the Poole site for 34.5 hours per week.
Day of Surgery incorporates an Admission and Day Surgery services.
The service is currently open Mon to Fri 07:00-20:00 with plans to make this a six day service and extend opening times 22:00.The successful candidate will be responsible for admitting and preparing patients for theatre ensuring that local policy is adhered to, caring for patients post-operatively and discharging patients under the nurse led discharge criteria. Once in post, they will be a key stakeholder in the development and expansion of the Day Surgery Service with the ultimate aim of enhancing the patient's experience.
The successful candidate will require significant experience within general surgical/orthopaedic nursing; have excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining and developing high standards. A friendly and patient-centred approach is vital to this exciting role. Previous experience in a Day Surgery setting is not essential as there is an opportunity for further training in this field, although a surgical background is preferred.

What will you be doing?As a Senior Social Worker, you will manage a complex and varied caseload and support less experienced colleagues through mentoring and modelling best practice.
You will lead statutory assessments, strategy discussions, Section 47 enquiries, and produce high-quality reports for court under Sections 7, 37 and 31.
Youll also be expected to complete SWET assessments and care plans where needed, contributing to positive and sustainable outcomes for children.

Job summary
The LAS ST4 doctor will work in the community team for adults with intellectual disability and mental illness and/or significant challenging behaviour within the London borough of Lambeth. We are looking for a highly organised, compassionate and resilient individual to join the NHS Children and Young People's Gender Service (London) as a Patient Pathway Co-ordinator.
The service supports children and young people with a range of individual needs and experiences, including those who are questioning their gender. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team working closely with children and young people, their families and carers, local healthcare professionals and partner organisations.
This is an important and sensitive administrative role. The Patient Pathway Co-ordinator will help ensure that children and young people move through the service safely and efficiently, from receipt of referral through the different stages of their pathway. Job summary
The Mental Health Single Point of Access is at the centre of urgent and crisis mental health care across Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow. Alongside our 24/7 SPA, the team also delivers NHS 111*2 mental health provision and Mental Health Urgent Community Response, creating a unique service where senior clinicians can work across telephone triage, urgent response, crisis pathways and system-wide decision-making.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Band 7 Senior Clinician who enjoys challenge, autonomy and leading from the front. You will make complex clinical decisions, support staff in real time and help shape how people access the right care at the right time.
This is a role for someone who wants more than a traditional clinical post. You will influence pathways, lead practice across a fast-moving service and play a key role in the continued development of urgent and crisis mental health care
Main duties of the job
As a Band 7 Senior Clinician, you will be one of the key clinical leaders within SPA, NHS 111*2 and MH UCR. You will provide senior oversight of complex referrals, telephone triage, urgent and crisis presentations and professional-to-professional contacts, supporting the team to make safe, confident and proportionate decisions.
You will lead the service clinically and operationally on shift, providing immediate support with risk, escalation and complex pathway decisions while maintaining oversight of service pressures and patient flow.
You will supervise and develop staff, contribute to quality improvement, audit and performance and work closely with CATT, primary care, ambulance services, police and wider partners. You will have the opportunity to influence practice, develop new ways of working and help shape a service that sits at the heart of urgent mental health care across three boroughs.

Senior MHCAS Clinician (Band 7)
Lakeside Mental Health Unit, Hounslow
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Clinician within the newly developed Mental Health Crisis and Assessment Service (MHCAS) at Lakeside Mental Health Unit. This is a 10-month fixed-term contract/secondment opportunity and offers an exciting chance to play a key role in the ongoing development of an innovative crisis service. This senior clinical role will provide visible frontline leadership, supporting the Team Manager in the delivery and ongoing development of a high-quality, responsive crisis service for individuals experiencing acute mental health difficulties.

Main duties of the job
We aim to offer diabetes specialist nurses the opportunity to work in any area of our service over time, to ensure a broad range of diabetes knowledge, experience and skills. Our service covers in-patient, out-patient and community diabetes CNS roles, so a unique place to work for any Diabetes CNS wishing to progress in the professional.

Clinical Lead Practitioner
We have a secondment opportunity for a Clinical Lead Practitioner. The service mission is to provide a high-quality service for people with severe and enduring mental health needs by working in active partnership with service users, carers and with local voluntary and community groups, in addition to statutory services within the Primary Care Network (PCN) Structure in Newham. The 10 Newham PCNs are grouped in 5 Mental Health PCNs, with 5 aligned CIMH Teams, managed by a North and South sector manager. CIMHS is an emergent service, integrating a range of existing offers, including ELFT's Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) and Assessment and Brief Treatment (ABT), with new provision funded via NHSE early implementer resource, including significant 3rd Sector provision, Peer Support and existing Social Care provision.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as an autonomous and accountable practitioner within an integrated team.
- To provide clinical and management supervision for band 6 and other staff as agreed
- To provide a consistently high standard of mental health care to people in Newham; to assess patients based on sound theory, principles and practice within a nursing context in line with the CIMHS operational guidelines.
- To liaise with other care providers in Newham in order to facilitate a comprehensive service for individual service users.
- To promote and maintain a specific focus and interest in the care of people with mental health needs.
- To liaise and work closely with the team's attached ward in order to promote a seamless service between services.
In addition to the above, they are expected work in conjunction with their band 6 Clinicians.
