Main duties of the job
As a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
- Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model
- Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
- Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
- Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing
- Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

- Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience of Substance Misuse
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
- RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.

Job summary
Birchwood Medical Centre is seeking a reliable, flexible and motivated individual to join our friendly GP practice team, providing cover across reception and general office administration.
This is a varied and patient-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and can adapt to changing priorities. You will play a key part in ensuring continuity of service during staff absence, peak demand and operational pressures.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients, delivering a professional, compassionate and efficient service at all times, while also supporting essential administrative functions behind the scenes.
This is a fixed term post until 31 March 2027, but there may be potential for continuing employment in the future. You will work full-time 37.5 hours per week as follows:
Monday - Friday 9.00 am - 5.30 pm (with one hour lunch break)
This role is part of the additional role reimbursement scheme (ARRS), led by NHS England.ARRS roles are recruited to support East Warrington Primary Care Network which comprises three GP Practices.Each individual Practice employs ARRS staff, however on occasions the Network may experience a short staff supply and therefore to ensure business continuity, you may be asked to work across the other Practices within the PCN to ensure a fair allocation and to ensure business runs smoothly for our patients.This would usually be for a short period of time until PCN business resumes to normal.
Main duties of the job
This role is primarily to provide cover for absent colleagues and will involve working on our busy reception and in our administration office according to need.
You must have a very flexible approach to work as you may at times be required adjust your start time to 8.00 am or finish at 6.30 pm depending on the cover required.

Birchwood Medical Centre is a busy GP practice with 11,000 patients. We have 3 GP partners and 7 salaried GP's, a nurse clinician, practice nurses, a nursing associate, HCA/phlebotomists and an expanding complement of ARRs staff. Our administrative team consists of receptionists, administrators, scanning/coding administrators and medical secretaries.
We strive to deliver the best care at all times for our patients whilst providing a friendly, caring environment for both our patients and staff.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Learning Disabilities Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Respond as directed by the Mental Health Team Manager in the day to day operational functioning of the Mental Health team.
- You will have responsibility for a caseload and be accountable for all aspects of delivering a nursing service for adults with learning disabilities/ challenging behaviour, within the criminal justice setting.
- You will be working with adults whose behaviours have resulted in their offending and coming into contact with the criminal justice system.
- You will be working with the multi-disciplinary team to undertake person centred specialist behavioural assessments, planning and co-ordination of positive non aversive behavioural approaches to service users.

Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options
- Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed
- Assess patients health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
- Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model
- Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.

The Salaried GP will provide high-quality primary care services to patients registered with the practice, including temporary patients. Main duties of the job
- In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion Including reviewing and actioning lad reports, managing Docman and other clinical correspondence.
- Providing high-quality clinical care to patients, including consultations, history taking, examination, diagnosis, treatment and follow up. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious, self-motivated individual to work in our Inventory management team. There is one role within the Inventory Team and is based at The Northumbria Hospital. The post holder will provide an Inventory management service for the Theatres, on which full training will be given.Reporting to the Inventory Team Leader, you will ensure that adequate stock levels of medical and non-medical products are maintained on wards & departments or in the theatre stores. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic clinician who is passionate about patients with continence issues. With health promotion being at the forefront of care delivery we are a service which aims to achieve a positive difference to patients' suffering from bladder and bowel dysfunction.
As a Clinical practitioner you will have proven organisational, management and computer skills as well as being able to lead and motivate the Bladder & Bowel Specialist team in delivering a holistic high quality of care. You will be supporting patients, carers, family members by assessing and developing individual plans of care, providing teaching and initiating management strategies. This would include pelvic floor exercise plans, bladder retraining, and bladder scanning and bowel irrigation, reviewing of plans and liaising with other multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams.
As a clinical role model, you will be responsible for delivering bladder & bowel-based training to our community teams and other stakeholders. We are a service looking to re-design and this is an exciting opportunity to assist in this development.
You will be supported by use of local and national guidelines relating to continence care and evidence based practice.
Main duties of the job
The Bladder & Bowel Specialist Nurse will provide specialist advice and support to professionals, patients and carers working within the health care economy. To promote continence whenever this is applicable, and if this is not achievable the aim will be to manage incontinence to a high standard.
The Bladder & Bowel Specialist Nurse is responsible for the assessment and management of the complex continence health needs of an identified population and for the development, implementation and evaluation of care management. You will be required to work within the Fetal Medicine Department, which promotes the Trust's values, objectives, priorities and high performance standards both individually and as a team. Hence, the Trust's success is dependent on all staff to play an active role to make sure that the existing good practice is universally embedded within the organisation.
Main duties of the job
Take responsibility for the co-ordination of consultant-led lists, ensuring that the appropriate information is attached to each patient and to assist the lead consultant or midwife in invasive procedures as required.
To take continuing responsibility with the consultant-led lists and ensure that any antenatal care, referrals, plans of care are completed and sent to the necessary location as required.
To support women with highly specialist information and counselling when a fetal abnormality is suspected or diagnosed.
To be involved in the provision of counselling, specialist information and provide continuing support for women considering or undergoing termination of pregnancy for abnormality.
For those women who are recalled following biochemical screening tests you will have to work closely with the antenatal screening service. Therefore, be able to facilitate their care appropriately within the Fetal Medicine Department.
Responsible for sharing information of normal and abnormal results to women and their local trusts following an invasive procedure in an expeditious manner.
To triage referrals and support administration staff in allocating women on to the appropriate lists and ensure that these women are aware of their appointments.
