Job summary
We have seven modern theatres in Chelsea which includes three robotic theatres. We cover a wide range of specialties, including Sarcoma and Melanoma, Upper and Lower GI, Plastics, Head and Neck, Gynaecology, Urology and Breast, using a wide range of surgical techniques. Our theatres scrub team is trusted, skilled, hardworking and supportive, and we're looking for a motivated and experienced scrub nurse or experienced scrub ODP who can demonstrate leadership qualities and a real interest in high quality perioperative care to join us.

Main duties of the job
- To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which have been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- As a member of the theatre team to perform all the tasks of a registered theatre nurse/ODP including resuscitation, scrub and circulation following all checks and procedures as laid down in National and Trust theatre policy. The post holder is expected to carry out all the relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise underqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex scrub equipment (diathermy, laparoscopic, robotic etc). To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularly relating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes and sterilisation of instruments.
- Take on responsibilities for ordering stock and non-stock supplies and arranging timely servicing of this equipment, both routine and urgent.
- Support the continuing specialist professional development of all staff in Chelsea Theatres by acting as a role model and mentor, in conjunction with the specialist practice educators and Theatre sister/charge nurse.
- Provide high quality, individualised, evidence-based care to patients/clients and relatives/carers in collaboration with the multi-professional team, in line with the local and national targets.

We are currently seeking high calibre staff nurses, who are keen, passionate and motivated individuals to join our busy unit which provides a high standard of patient care and values the 'personal touch' to create the best environment for the patient journey
The current working pattern is Monday - Friday , no night duties, with the opportunity to work additional Saturday shifts.
The Day Surgery unit cares for patient having multiple procedures that take place on the day which include: General Surgery, Urology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, ENT, and Plastics.
We are a supportive learning environment and our Ward Sister is keen to develop the teams from within, so training and professional development is encouraged and supported.
Main duties of the job
- Acts at all times in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct / Health Professional Council.
- Supervises the work of the nursing / anaesthetic team, ensuring individual programmes of care are formulated according to patient needs and current research/guidelines.
- Delivers planned care safely and effectively taking into account the views of the patient and their relatives.Anticipate and respond to the needs of a wide range of patients (including paediatrics and those with special needs), their relatives or carers if accompanying patient to theatre, in a highly sensitive and empathetic manner.
- Recognise, resolve or take appropriate action in situations that may be detrimental to the health and well-being of patients and colleagues.
- Recognise the significance of the observations made on the patient's vital signs and use these to develop an initial patient assessment.
- Carry out those activities involved when conducting the comprehensive assessment of a person's nursing requirements to include psychological, physiological, cardiovascular, neurological care and to ensure safe handover of care.

As a Band 5 Recovery Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, individualised post-anaesthetic care to patients undergoing a wide range of complex surgical procedures. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within the recovery environment, using sound clinical judgement to recognise changes in a patient's condition, initiate appropriate interventions and escalate concerns promptly. You will work collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre practitioners to ensure safe and effective patient care and transfer from the recovery area.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of needs of patients. To carry out all relevant forms of care for patients of all specialities. To maintainsupervision of unregistered staff, during each spell of duty. To be able to teach other nursing /ODP staff including nurse/ ODP learners.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex theatre equipment (glidoscope, bronchoscopes etc) with responsibility for ordering stock and non-stock supplies and arranging timely servicing ofthis equipment, both routine and urgent. Job Purpose
The Practice Nurse will work as part of the practices multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to the practice population. As a band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be a visible personality on the ward who is able to take control of situations and manage the general day to day running of the ward, in the ward manager's absence. Main duties of the job
We currently have vacancy for a permanent band 6 position on ward 16.
We are seeking an innovative, highly motivated forward thinking nurse who has the ability to manage a busy ward on a daily basis using expert clinical knowledge and judgement whilst providing support to staff. You will be expected to have both a 'hands on' approach in providing high quality care and have a visible and approachable presence on the ward in order to support junior staff with their role. You will also be expected to support the ward manager with general management duties and have an understanding of the varying factors that affect patient care and experience, staff development and must comply with Trust Policies at all times.
This is a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be supported by the ward manager and matron.

We require a nurse with (A&E / ITU) experience to undertake the role of a research nurse within the Acute Medicine Cluster. Experience in research would be advantageous but not essential.
The Research Nurse will work collaboratively within a team working on both commercial and non-commercial research studies within a flexible research workforce covering a 7 day 24 hour service.

The post holder will work closely with the senior research nurses and clinical lead in the completion of comprehensive documentation required by the Ethics Committees - local and national, for ethical review and approval of the research study.
Main duties of the job
1. The Research Nurse will support programmes for recruitment, enrolment, screening and retention of research subjects in accordance with protocol and International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) Good Clinical Practice standards. 2. The Research Nurse will support the team in the planning and implementation of protocols in accordance with research parameters as set out by the Chief and Principal Investigators.3. The Research Nurse will contribute to appropriate data collection systems for patient data and monitoring data, in accordance with the research protocol.4. The Research Nurse maintains complete source documentation and Site Investigators File for Chief and Principal Investigators and Regulatory Bodies.5. The Research Nurse maintains liaison on a regular basis with the Chief Investigator for the duration of the study. In addition he/she may be required to attend ongoing presentations and lectures to maintain knowledge base of developments within the field of the Study.6. Job summary
To work as a specialist nurse in Cardiology clinics, working as part of the MDT to provide assessment and treatment planning. This role will support the delivery of Atrial Fibrillation, Valve and Rapid access chest pain clinics.
You will demonstrate an extensive cardiac knowledge with competence in assessment and consultation and registered prescriber as well as the ability to work independent and autonomously.
Provide care for patients in a holistic manner, incorporating physical and psychological care to enable them to live with a cardiac condition.
To provide education and support to the cardiology patients.
To be the point of contact for patients in the CNS clinics to give ongoing support virtually and to assess and liaise with other members of the MDT on their behalf.
To work alongside the MDT to deliver the highest standard of cardiac care and liaising closely with community teams to provide a joined up and effective service delivery. Engage with the MDT.
This is a fixed term position until 31st August 2027

Main duties of the job
Manages clinical risk taking responsibility for the assessment of patient needs and the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of care within the ward and post discharge.
Draws on specialist knowledge to act as an autonomous member of the CNS team, and provide specialised management and care of the cardiac patient.
Effectively deliver a high standard of care to the cardiac patient.
Carefully documenting and sharing information with the MDT in a useful and constructive way. Using methods available to communicate effectively with other health professionals including GP, community nurse specialists and consultants.
To be able to communicate effectively with the consultants and colleagues if there is a patient concern and understand the correct escalation process.
