We cover a wide range of specialties, including Sarcoma and Melanoma, Upper and Lower GI, Plastics, Head and Neck, Gynaecology, Urology and Breast, using a wide range of surgical techniques. Our theatres scrub team is trusted, skilled, hardworking and supportive, and we're looking for a motivated and experienced scrub nurse or experienced scrub ODP who can demonstrate leadership qualities and a real interest in high quality perioperative care to join us.
Main duties of the job
- To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which have been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- As a member of the theatre team to perform all the tasks of a registered theatre nurse/ODP including resuscitation, scrub and circulation following all checks and procedures as laid down inNational and Trust theatre policy. The post holder is expected to carry out all the relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise underqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex scrub equipment (diathermy, laparoscopic etc) To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularlyrelating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes and sterilisation of instruments.
- Support senior staff and multidisciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining excellent clinical standards of clinical practice and staff development as part of the theatre team.Provide high quality, individualised, evidence-based care to patients/clients and relatives/carers in collaboration with the multi-professional team, in line with the local and national targets.

Main duties of the job
- To be a expert practitioner in Recovery and act as an effective, professional and clinical role model. To lead, co-ordinate, organise and take full responsibility and accountability for the daily management and organisation of Recovery in Chelsea; this involves managing a wide range of complex and sometimes conflicting priorities including staff management. To work in accordance with the NMC/HCPC Code of Professional Conduct, Trust policies and Procedures and National guidelines.
- As a member of the theatre team to perform all the tasks of an ODP/theatre nurse including all checks and procedures as laid down in National and Trust Theatre Policy. The team includes a Clinical Team Leader, Clinical Leads, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, a Consultant Psychologist, a Specialty Doctor, Specialist Nurses/Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, and Healthcare Assistants.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have strong engagement skills, excellent communication skills, and some experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and professions.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and undertake the crisis assessment of young people, develop care plans, and provide psychological interventions in relation to the young person's presenting need. They will also lead and supervise interventions provided by junior staff.
The CAMHS Crisis and Intensive Home Treatment Team works closely with our CAMHS Inspire Inpatient Service and will support young people whilst they are inpatients to facilitate early discharge. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist - Liaison Psychiatry to join our friendly and innovative team within the City and Weston Hospital Operating Unit, Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our dynamic and accredited Liaison Psychiatry Service. The post holder will provide specialist mental health assessments across the Emergency Department and acute hospital, supporting patients presenting with self-harm, suicidality, behavioural disturbance, psychological distress and other complex mental health needs.
You will undertake comprehensive biopsychosocial and risk assessments, coordinate care plans, provide expert advice to patients, carers and clinical teams, and act as an autonomous practitioner within the multidisciplinary team.

Job summary
Due to the rapid expansion of our Cardiac Surgery research portfolio, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic cardiovascular nurse to join our Cardiac Surgery Research Team. Successful candidates will be involved in a range of clinical trials, involving mostly cardiac surgery patients. Experience in the speciality of cardiac surgery will therefore be essential. You will be working closely with a large multidisciplinary team, including clinical academics, university and commercial trial teams. Ability to engage supportively and effectively with patients and clinical staff will be essential in ensuring that our studies are well delivered and the standards of care of care for our study patients is exemplary.
Training and development will be a key focus in ensuring the successful candidate can develop their expertise in clinical research, within a supportive environment.
Seeing the patients safely through the trials offers lots of patient contact, but additionally the role provides the opportunity to be involved in many elements of the trials from study set up through to closure. This makes for a varied and interesting career choice. Excellent communication skills are essential as a key area of the job is to facilitate the informed consent process.
Main duties of the job
- Assist in the overall set up, organisation and delivery of clinical trials ensuring adherence to ICH-GCP standards within the Research Governance framework and adhering to other related regulations/SOPs.
- Work closely with other research team members, using clear lines of communication with the wider clinical care team and support departments to ensure each patients smooth and safe journey throughout the studies.
- Co-ordinate arrangements for patients participating in clinical trials, according to study protocols, and communicate all necessary information to relevant personnel.
- Work as a team to deliver on larger trials, with more independent working on a portfolio ofsmaller studies.
- Work closely with Trial Managers, Investigators and other members of the wider study team, to trouble shoot issues with trial conduct or blockages to recruitment and work together to resolve these issues.
- Provide guidance and support for junior team members for staff, ensuring that they are fully trained and aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Assist the manager in the day-to-day management of research delivery, deputises in their absence.
- Assist themanager and senior team in the strategic planning and development of the team.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our proactive Critical Care Outreach Team for a 12 months fixed term contract. We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced and highly motivated critical care nurse who will work with the team to support us in the delivery of a high-quality 24-hour service across both Chelsea and Sutton sites. You will work collaboratively to provide acute oncology care to at risk or deteriorating cancer patients. You will carry out advanced assessment and care of deteriorating patients leading to early intervention and treatment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously is essential. You will be part of the Resuscitation team/Hospital@Night and would be required as an ALS provider to lead rescue interventions and facilitate transfers to and from critical care. You will work a mixture of days and nights as well as weekends within the team.
You will be involved in the service development, improvement and participate actively in audit and research. You would need to demonstrate leadership and managerial expertise as a Band 7 Charge Nurse/Sister in Critical Care Outreach.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a 24-hour Critical Care Outreach (CCO) service across the Chelsea and Sutton site.
- To be an active member of the hospital at night (H@N) team.
- To identify patients who are acutely deteriorating and are for active treatment.
- To work in collaboration with the Critical Care Unit team (CCU), Medical/Surgical teams and the Clinical Site Practitioner (CSP) to assess and treat the acutely deteriorating patient.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public Health role within our Maternity Tobacco Dependency team to support smoking cessation for pregnant people. This FTC is to cover maternity leave.
Maternity at SWFT now have an "in-house" model of stop smoking in pregnancy support, which meets the recommendations of Saving Babies Lives and the NHS Long Term Plan.
We need an in-house Maternity Services Tobacco Dependency Advisor to join our Public Health Team and continue the strong provision of stop smoking in pregnancy support that we offer. This post is based in Warwick hospital and the Warwickshire area and will involve supporting pregnant families to improve their immediate and longer-term health. We work closely with our community advisors to support pregnant people booked at SWFT, GEH and UHCW(if they live in the Rugby area).
We are looking to recruit a motivated individual who fits our person specification. The post holder will be required to have great communication skills, be passionate about tackling the inequalities in health and work well within a small team. We are looking for an individual with good organisational skills who can engage with people well.

The full-time equivalent (FTE) salary range is £51,954 - £63,706 per annum.

Clinic-based position supporting nurse lead clinics across Locality - applicants must have an active NMC PIN number as essential to role.

This is an exciting chance to join the East Locality to work as a Clinic, supporting non housebound patients that require clinical interventions that are deemed complex and do not meet practice nurse criteria. You will need to be able to travel to the clinic sites. You will provide a holistic approach to individuals, that includes, assessment, planning and implementation of care along with review. The successful candidate will act as an autonomous practitioner providing a comprehensive clinical assessment service to patients resulting in a safe and appropriate clinical decision.
The successful candidate should have experience of wound care, with a particular interest in leg ulcer assessment, treatment and follow up care including compression therapy and lymphoedema care as well as catherisations. Prescribing or a willingness to complete nurse prescribing essential. You will also support with triaging of referrals.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the integrated Multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Clinical Team Manager. Working with other members of the IMT to provide care to and promote health/well being and independence for patients on the team caseload, working closely with other partners/stakeholders including GP's, Tissue Viability and vascular clinics. You will support IMT triaging to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time in the right place.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our CAT Team on a secondment as Clinical nurse specialist.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will provide high-quality, patient-centred specialist cancer nursing care within the CAT Team, working as part of the multidisciplinary team to support patients across the cancer pathway from diagnosis through treatment, follow-up and ongoing care.
The post holder will act as a key point of contact for patients and carers, offering expert clinical advice, coordination of care and emotional support, while ensuring care is delivered in line with national cancer standards, NICE guidance and Trust policies. The role contributes to timely pathway coordination, MDT working, and the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate cancer services.
Working 22.5 hours per week, the CNS will manage a defined caseload, undertake nurse-led clinics and patient reviews, support outpatient and MDT activity, and work collaboratively with medical, allied health and support staff to optimise patient outcomes and experience. The role is integral to maintaining service quality, continuity of care, and meeting operational and performance requirements within the CAT Team.

- Provide specialist Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) care to patients within the CAT Team across the cancer pathway.
- Act as a key point of contact for patients and carers, offering clinical advice, support and information.
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including participation in MDT meetings.
- Undertake nurse-led clinics, patient reviews and follow-up, including telephone and face-to-face contacts.
- Support timely pathway management, ensuring compliance with national cancer standards and Trust policies.
- Contribute to service delivery, quality improvement and maintenance of safe, effective and compassionate care.
