Job summary
To cover maternity leave from November
Part time Receptionist form part of a multi-disciplinary team within primary care and support the clinicians in the smooth running of the surgery by handling routine administration duties enabling the clinician to focus on the patient. Ultimately the aim is to improve the patients access/experience in practice.
Part time Receptionist will operate under the supervision of the practice management and the Partners of the Practice.
Main duties of the job
Role Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the job. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels. You will work within your capabilities and:
Patient Contact.
Acknowledge all patients at reception.
Make / cancel appointments as necessary for surgeries as per appointments system with focus on ARRS roles
Accept ambulance bookings as necessary.
Accept prescription requests.
Issue repeat prescriptions on request - incorporating Acute and Repeat Prescriptions and put for reprinting / review as necessary.
Make / cancel appointments for clinics.
Deal with patient complaints / queries when possible or pass on to the Practice Manager.
Take requests for house calls / visits.
Deal with enquiries for the following;
Hospitals
Patients
GPs.
Transfer main telephone to GP on call as appropriate.
Maintain the confidentiality of the patient and other practice information at all times.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Band 5 Nurse to join our team at St Martin's Hospital, Sulis Ward. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the provision of high-quality patient care by assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs. You will demonstrate the ability to perform all relevant forms of nursing care competently without direct supervision, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Additionally, the role involves active participation in teaching, supervision, and preceptorship/mentorship of learners and other staff and in the absence of a more senior nurse, the post holder will take charge of the ward. Educated to BTEC/NVQ3 or equivalent qualification and / or experience, knowledge of Rostering platforms providing an eRostering Service and Roster building experience is essential. Kiddies Cabin Day Nursery, located within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, is looking for aLevel 3 qualified part-time Nursery Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 to 18:00, closed on bank holidays and during the Christmas and New Year period. This role will be 15 hours per week across two days at 7.5 hours per day.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Community Staff Nurse with the Amersham Adult Community Healthcare Team.The role is providing nursing interventions to patients in their home environment. In this role you will become a competent Community Nurse. Our skills include IV's, catheter care, palliative care and end of life support, leg ulcer management, wound care, medication management, complex care management, prevention of admission work and MDT working.
Our days are varied, with teamwork and compassion being at the heart of everything we do. Amersham ACHT aim to provide the highest standard of care for our patients. We will support you through your induction and gaining your skill competencies.
Ideally you should have a wide range of clinical expertise within the NHS as well as experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment. The post holder must be able to demonstrate their professional skills and competence in medicines management, care and treatment delivery. You must be innovative in your approach and willing to work with other members of the community team and ward staff to ensure a high-quality service delivery. You must be willing to develop your own knowledge and skills. We provide a 7am to 9pm service 7 days a week.

- Assess the physical and psycho-social needs of patients and deliver therapeutic interventions based on best available evidence in order to improve health outcomes.
- To manage own case load, delivering and evaluating service delivery to patients with a variety of medical conditions and those delegated by case managers.
- To plan interventions with the Case Manager and other team members using the common assessment process.

Amersham Hospital is one of several Community Hospitals within the Trust. We have three inpatient areas: Chartridge Ward, Waterside Unit, and Buckinghamshire Neuro Rehabilitation Unit.
Waterside Unit has exciting opportunities for Band 5 Staff Nurses to join their team. This post would be suitable for newly qualified nurses, those due to qualify in the near future, or individuals who already have post-registration experience. Where relevant, we will support you to undertake our Trust Preceptorship programme, offering you the structured support needed to transition your knowledge into everyday practice successfully.
Waterside Unit is a 21 bedded ward within the Integrated Elderly Care Division. We provide inpatient rehabilitation for older adults working closely with our therapy team until ready for discharge home with support or a placement in a Nursing or Residential Home. Our patients often have multiple health needs & chronic conditions.
Main duties of the job
- Identifying the needs for nursing care of individual patients in the context of prescribed medical care.
- Undertakes the nursing assessment of the patient, including risk assessments, e.g. Tissue viability, falls etc. and re-evaluates.
- Planning and delivering an individual programme of nursing care for each patient, incorporating objectives, and re-evaluates.
- Supervising qualified / unqualified staff, to ensure the optimum application of skills necessary to provide the care planned for each patient.
- Recording nursing care given and evaluating its outcome in relation to achievement of objectives; modifying care plans accordingly.
- Acts as a health educator throughout the patients stay.
- Responds sensitively to the needs of patients families and visitors

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Community Specialist Palliative Care Nurse to join our dedicated specialist palliative care service in Gloucestershire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred centred care within a variety of community settings.
As a Community Specialist Palliative Care Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting patients with complex symptom management needs, enabling people to achieve their preferred place of care and supporting families through difficult and often life-changing circumstances.

We have seven modern theatres in Chelsea which includes three robotic theatres. We cover a wide range of specialties, including Sarcoma and Melanoma, Upper and Lower GI, Plastics, Head and Neck, Gynaecology, Urology and Breast, using a wide range of surgical techniques. Our theatres scrub team is trusted, skilled, hardworking and supportive, and we're looking for a motivated and experienced scrub nurse or experienced scrub ODP who can demonstrate leadership qualities and a real interest in high quality perioperative care to join us.

Main duties of the job
- To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which have been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- As a member of the theatre team to perform all the tasks of a registered theatre nurse/ODP including resuscitation, scrub and circulation following all checks and procedures as laid down in National and Trust theatre policy. The post holder is expected to carry out all the relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise underqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex scrub equipment (diathermy, laparoscopic, robotic etc). To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularly relating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes and sterilisation of instruments.
- Take on responsibilities for ordering stock and non-stock supplies and arranging timely servicing of this equipment, both routine and urgent.
- Support the continuing specialist professional development of all staff in Chelsea Theatres by acting as a role model and mentor, in conjunction with the specialist practice educators and Theatre sister/charge nurse.
- Provide high quality, individualised, evidence-based care to patients/clients and relatives/carers in collaboration with the multi-professional team, in line with the local and national targets.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will play a central role within our motivated and committed Recovery team in Chelsea. As a Band 5 Recovery Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, individualised post-anaesthetic care to patients undergoing a wide range of complex surgical procedures. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within the recovery environment, using sound clinical judgement to recognise changes in a patient's condition, initiate appropriate interventions and escalate concerns promptly. You will work collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre practitioners to ensure safe and effective patient care and transfer from the recovery area.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of needs of patients. To carry out all relevant forms of care for patients of all specialities. To maintainsupervision of unregistered staff, during each spell of duty. To be able to teach other nursing /ODP staff including nurse/ ODP learners.
- To be responsible for the safe use of complex theatre equipment (glidoscope, bronchoscopes etc) with responsibility for ordering stock and non-stock supplies and arranging timely servicing ofthis equipment, both routine and urgent. To demonstrate sound knowledge base of safe decontamination processes and practices, particularly relating to the safe decontamination of flexible scopes & sterilisation of instruments.
- Support the senior staff and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining excellent clinical standards of clinical practice and staff development as part of the theatre team.
- Provide specialist clinical advice Trust wide to support and facilitate high quality, individualised, evidence-based care to patients/ clients and relatives/ carers in collaboration with the multi professional team, in line with the local and national targets.
- To be responsible for the continuing professional development and overall performance of all staff by acting as a mentor and role model with the support of their senior colleagues.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Manchester Local Care Organisation which is part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation trust for a Band 6 to expand there knowledge and skills within Children's community Palliative care.
We are seeking a Registered Children's Nurse band 6 to join our small team.
The individual would support families and patients in there own home and in the hospital setting. Acting as patient advocate and coordinating care. Clinical skills are important, along with active listening skills and good communication.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse with excellent communication skills and good organisational skills and leadership skills, Who can operate as an autonomous practitioner, delivering evidence, based nursing care to children and their families. You will support the team leader in managing team members along with innovations to continue to develop the team.
The Children's Palliative care team supports children in the community with life limiting and life threatening conditions. Although this is a seven day service you would be expected to operate over five days, from 8am-5pm. You will be part of a 24 hour on call rota, when it is necessary for a child to receive end of life care at home.
You will be part of a forward thinking and friendly team, providing holistic care to families within the community. You will be expected to work closely with our short break facilitators and other professionals within the hospital, community and wider team.

Clayton Brook Surgery have an excellent cohesive and dedicated team including; 2 GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Practice Manager, Operations Manager, Finance Manager and a strong administrative team. Our GP Partners are trainers with an emphasis on training GPs of the future.
The permanent role will be a Part-time post of between 16 and 24 hours per week.
The post holder will be flexible in their approach and work closely in collaboration with staff from Moss Side Medical Centre in Leyland.
